2. Vega. If I didn't know Freddie Prince Jr. was the VA, I might feel differently, but because I know I can't get past it. I hear him curse in Spanish but I still see him in She's All That and it's distracting.
I can't really pick a third one. Characters that annoyed me in ME2 (Miranda and Jack) were redeemed for me in ME3.
Now if this included shipmates Allers would probably come in second.

ME2-Jacob (ex Alliance soldier with father problems? You must be really deep)
ME3-Kaidan/Ashley (for the last time, I don't freaking work for Cerberus)

ME2: Tali. Her build was horrible and her missions featured unskippable dialogue. Pass.
ME3: Tali. She's fine as a character, but the way Bioware handled the face reveal was pathetic.

ME2: Jacob because he was useless after I got Garrus and Grunt
ME3: Javik(because he is a communist and really didn't care for him, someone from ME2 could have had his place)

Actually, he wasn't communist at all. Just imperialistic

ME2 - Jack - Her tattoos gave me a headache and she was so angry all the time. The anger got boring. However, I thought she was awesome in ME3.
ME3- Kaidan - If I didn't hate Ashley so much, I would of killed him in ME1. All he does is whine and isn't a very entertaining character.

ME2: Anyone who isn't a Biotic. Most enemies are Organics, and I have Overload now that I've been augmented into a Sentinel.
ME3: James Vega. Your only power is a Shotgun and an Assault Gun? That's boring!

If I were to rank the 'em. Given what my experience was when I first played the game. Not after multiple playthroughs and knowledge of future games.
- Tali would earn the title in the first game. I literally ignored her throughout the whole time except that one time I did a play through to get the the achievement tying to her being in your squad on most of your missions.
In the second game...
- Jacob: Wasn't useful for me in combat. Dumped him as soon as I recruited Garrus. I even send him as the escort duty in the final push since I don't trust he could hold the line. Seeing his portrayal in the third installment just makes me go... thank god I didn't get invested in his character. Cause out of all the returning squadmates aside from Morinth he got butchered.
Third Game...
- James Vega: Vega feels like he is this games' Jacob to me. That's basically what it came down too.

ME2: Jack. She didn't feel "dangerous" or "crazy," and she flipped from even the shallow pretense of those traits way too quickly.
ME3: Javik. He's got well-written dialogue and all, but just the idea of a Prothean being alive was a little ridiculous. Reactions to him from NPCs are way off.

ME2: Zaeed. I just didn't get much from his character.
ME3: I will reserve judgment on this, since I haven't had the chance to play with Javik yet, but if you put a gun to my head, I'd pick Ash, I guess. She just keeps second-guessing me and my history with Cerberus ad nauseum until I want to smack her.

For those claiming Ashley is a racist. She does not look down on or think humans are better then aliens only that banking on them helping humanity could bite you in the ass, which the quotes from the game above prove.
Expect this to be ignored. It's too popular for people to say they hate her because she hates those that are different and because she has religous beliefs.
My least favorites are probably Tali in 1, Jacob in 2, and Javik, Liara, and Tali in 3. Can't really say I hate any of them though. Tali is just either unimportant (1), creepy (her semi hitting on me was weird in 2), or making lame excuses for when Quarians do stupid things. Jacob was a good guy but didn't have anything that really made him special. Liara seems liked they tried to make her edgier but she still whines alot and makes excuses for Asari screwing the galaxy by hiding their beacon. And Javik likes airlocks too much and mostly refuses to see other points of view. Still though, all the characters had their good points so I could never really say I hate any of them (I even like them in some ways).
Except for Jenkins. . . I hate Jenkins. If I had a gun with two bullets in a room with Jenkins, TIM, and Saren, I'd shoot Jenkins twice.

ME1: Tali... I hate her for her lame looser, envious attitude... also it's pretty useless in the game... the party Wrex/Garrus was so powerful, Liara was the expert and the Virmire squadmates had their role.. Tali was just irrelevant.
ME2: Jacob... do I need to explain it?
ME3: Tali... I just hate her and her people.
