As an Arcane warrior, I currently have a sword and shield. 

I know that some spells can be cast one-handed.  If I have a sword and shiled can I still cast those spells without putting away my equipment? 

If not, what is the best way to go as far as weapons for an AW that still likes to use magic?


As an aside, as far as Liliana, should I get the skill where it uses cuning instead of strenght and duel wield sword\\\\dagger, or just stick to two daggers to get the total bonus from dexterity?  Daggers do use 100% modifier from dex and swords, etc. use 100% modifier from strength, right?

some spells can be cast without sheathing yeah. theres a list somewhere maybe on google best way to go is a matter of opinion. i guess starfang/fade wall? well probably spellweaver since you wanna cast stuff too

daggers are 100% strength, which is a bug. when it is patched they will be 50% strength 50% dex. you should get lethality unless you're doing a dex build with the hotfix

They haven't fixed the dagger bug yet? Sheesh, what are they waiting for, seems like an easy fix. Well, might as well give her a longsword.



Thanks for the site about spellcasting. I guess my question was, can I cast with BOTH hands occupied (one with sword, one with shield) , or do I need to only equip a sword?

Yes , You can cast spells with both hands occupied, tho it takes longer due to the fact that you put the 2 weapons or weapon and sheild up before casting. This is what i do it works well for doing quick damage while waiting for mana to recharge. I also recommend using Death Syphon so you dont wait forever on mana so you can get back to spellcasting quickly.
