Good question...I'd say Banshees. Scariest, hardest and most fun enemies.

I agree the Banshees were the worst. Especially when you get more than 2 of them so even your other teammates can't deal with them all.

The marauders, those definitely needed taking down first on insanity.

Kai Leng. When he closed, you're supposed to hit "f" repeatedly. Well, that little helpful hint didn't show up on my screen for some reason. I tried googling it and I finally came across a youtube video that showed it.

Banshees by far, and then Marauders a distant second.

Blasto

..I stood at that wall listening to the movie excerpts far longer than it took to kill any bad guys.

As an adept, Geth Rocket Troopers were by far the most agitating. A single rocket decimates my shields and staggers me, leaving me ripe for further damage by his compatriots.

Phantoms. Also, those Cerberus Engineers and their frikkin turrets.

I see a lot people mentioning Banshee's. For me, its not the Banshee's that are the problem - I can deal with them easily enough - its just everything else thats shooting at you whilst the Banshee's warp up to you. Pain in the arse.

In Multiplayer, I can't stand the geth, what with those flame-troopers, if you're not smart they'll kill you dead.

In the campaign I hated banshees, but really hated when banshees and brutes got together. In multiplayer that's when I pull out a rocket launcher. No such option in the campaign.

Actually altogether I found all of the enemies in the game to be remarkably well done, and danged tough to beat. It made the game very good from a third-person shooter perspective.

Cerberus Engineers also made me rage, usually Cerberus was easy, but Grissom Academy broke my Insanity run early, when I realized there wasn't a conceivable way to do the mission with the party I brought.

The only part of the game I actually had trouble with was the Reaper on Rannoch. I must have died a dozen or more times before I got the timing ring on it. Other than that the game was pretty easy, but I chalked it up to spending so much time in the multiplayer (which is actually challenging).

Seriously, single player enemies just aren't a threat anymore once you've had to solo a few waves in the multiplayer.

That Reaper on Rannoch killed me so many times until I figured out what to do.

Outside of that, definitely those harvested rachni, first time I went up against one I instantly got killed.

After the 7th try I was like "OH! It locks on faster if you don't move!" :pinched:

took me like 12 times. only figured it out because i was swatting a fly and i see it targeting faster and was like "wait... how did i not notice this?!"

Nothing worse than dying on the last shot. I was strafing around the Reaper on that one and it didn't lock fast enough
"BWAAAAAAAAAAH BEEP BEEP BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP"
*Reaper laser*
"Aw."

Sounds stupid but my most common cause of death on insanity was being shot to death when I had to leave cover to escape the 1 hit KO grenades, those centurions drove me insane

The Biotic Terrorists in UNC: Hostage. Their attacks nail me to the floor almost every time. Quite annoying.

Pft, as an infiltrator, with cloak specced for damage, this thing was no challenge for the collector particle beam barrier and Widow armor raper.

First playthrough was on Insanity, Sentinel, I managed to finish the campaign of course, but Brutes are WAAAAY overpowered at the beginning of the game. Later they get super easy to kill, but they give a hell of a hard time at first, specially on that Palaven Moon.

During the campaign, on insanity, it'd have to be those damn Phantoms. A few times after I get done wiping out an entire platoon of centurions and troopers there's always that phantom waiting in the corner- I was naive to think the coast was clear.

Banshees are a close second but didn't make my **** list because a good Widow shot stops their OP teleporting.

Which enemy made it to the top of your **** list?

Banshee.

ME1: Rescue all scientists from Biotic Terrorist. Have to take a lot of naps throughout the fight to avoid killing scientist.

ME2: Umm... Pyro! Yeah, those bosh'tet! Especially in Arrival!

ME3: Freaking turrets!!!!! Always reminds me of my mortality when I feel like superman dashing all over the place!

Among the Cerberus goon squads, the Guardians and Phantoms annoyed me. With the Reaper troops, it was the Banshees and Brutes.
