I don't think it was about trusting Wrex, to me is was more about believing in Eve and her vision of the way things were before the wars.

I trust Wrex completely.

I don't however, trust the krogan as a race. As long as Wrex is in charge, the krogan will be held in check. But sooner or later they will outgrow all the other races and they are still warriors at heart (which Wrex admits). They might not be a problem for a few centuries but when Wrex dies, sh*t will hit the fan.

Therefor, I made a new playthrough, killed Wrex in ME1 and didn't save Maleons data. Ensured krogan support with salarian aid and Mordin survived.

No need to tell me though, I already feel terrible :crying: I am sure it was the best outcome for the galaxy long term though.

EDIT: I mean I killed Wrex in ME1 and then stabbed his brother in the back.

Yes, absolutely. I trust Wrex. I also trust Bakara/Eve. Together, I absolutely believe they will chart a better, brighter future for the Krogan.

As for the person who was concerned about Wrex demanding 10 worlds from the council, they missed the context there. Wrex was demanding the *return* of 10 worlds, in exchange for helping the Turians. I don't blame him. For one simple reason. The Council has a conveniently short memory. If the Krogan don't get those worlds back while they'd effectively got the Council over a barrel, chances are a war would be the only way they'd ever see them. This is the same reason Wrex is pushing for an embassy. Because he knows exactly what's going to happen as soon as the war is over. The council races are going to forget that when the crap hit the fan, they were begging the Krogan for help.

Yes if eve is alive? even more so after talking with eve I think the krogan needs females to balance out the males attitudes.

If wreav is leader? noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo even if eve is alive.

I have quite a bit of history with Wrex, so yeah I trust him. Eve, though I like her, I don't have so much history with, and I have no idea whether she can effectively moderate Wreave, who really was just lucky Kalros got him before he opened his mouth too close to a fuel tank.

By himself I think he'd have some trouble keeping order, but he's a badass so I think he can keep order. Plus he's not xenophobic nor is he overly militant, in the end he'd lead the krogan well.

I sabotaged it. Just to see Kirrahe at the end. But usually with Wrex I would cure it.

I think the writers did a good job of injecting some doubt here. Helping the Krogan isn't black and white.

Wrex did contemplate murdering you in ME1...or would have murdered you...its very hard to say, but despite all of Wrex's best intentions i think the aggro nature of Krogan males may have been a bit too much...Wrex even says that they need to "expand" so its quite possible that the genophage would have incited a war, however it could be something to the likes of...after the war it is made clear that a vast majority of the krogan was killed as cannon fodder...vastly diminishing their population. Their are many different expository conclusions that would be reasonable with the krogan arch.

Wrex trusted me in ME1, I trusted him in ME3. Knowing his family history with his father, and how he talks about the genophage making the krogan good for nothing but war and all that, he seems to have a vision of a better life for his people. His efforts to unit the clans in ME2 also bought some trust, showed he had some ability to be a diplomat if needed.

When I eventually do another play-through I will finally cure the genophage just to do it, but I don't trust the Krogan as a whole for the long-term.

Trusting Wrex personally and curing geno****e - these are two different things. Where is a guarantee that Wrex is not killed in this war and krogans will not rebell again?

Edit: hmm... filters did not like my spelling. This is unintentional.

Wrex? Sure. The Krogan as a whole? Not one bit. As a couple others already pointed out, Wrex isn't going to live forever. There's no certainty that the next Krogan to take over from Wrex will be able to keep them in line or even want to keep them in line. Wrex himself says it in ME1. If you ask a Krogan if he wants to kill for credits or work on a cure, he'll take the credits every time. "It's just who we are Shepard." Keep the Genophage going.

I feel like the Krogan could have been the current day Protheans. They are imperialistic in nature.

I cured the genophage in my paragon playthrough, but it was always cured in mind that I needed the Krogan's support to fight the Reapers.

Did you also destroy the Geth and the rachni? Just curious. If people are ready to essentially wipe out the Krogan race because they might cause a war, then why not wipe out other races as well that have a tendancy to become problematic in the past? What about them shifty Salarians, do they have a genophage solution or dooms day virus for every race? Ya know, kinda like the Reapers, nip it in the bud right now, just end them annoying races now, rather than having to deal with them when they are stronger.

I don't delude myself, I expect there is a real chance the Krogans might expand and cause a war. However, I can't bring myself to destroy a race who were meddled with and put in this situation in the first place. War comes we fight it:(  If we lose, we got what we deserved, who am I to choose who has the right to live or rule in the galaxy.

Thats how this whole series got started, some race of meddling know it alls, decided the best way to stop bad things from happening was to destroy things just in case bad things happened.

I trust Wrex more than I trust most of my old squad mates back in Mass Effect 2.
