I agree with you to an extent, but...

Given the situation and the options, what other "way" would Shepard have found?
Also, if you give Shepard a perfect "way" it makes the other choices pointless. There's no weight. There's nothing to make you question.

I also believe that if you think your Shepard would have found a way, that he would have even with the Control option. Just because he's gone physically doesn't mean in his next form he won't end the Reapers, maybe sacrificing them to the emptiness of dark space.

Like the Catalyst says, you have more hope than you know.

I want the choice.  If I am willing to invest the time and energy I want the ending I worked for.  I respect your right to your ending, I just want to have my ending as well.

The current endings just do not explain or justify the years I spent getting to this point.  Years I enjoyed then but now feel a bit invalid considering they mean nothing at the end of the game.

If you run a race, and are first all the way up to the end, but cross the finish line last, you still ran in last place.  If I have a bad ending I want it to be because my choices led me there.  In turn, I want my current choices validated.  I have too much emotional investment in the characters to just let things lie.

In the real world I can make good choices and still wind up with a bad ending.  At least in my video-game world I want my choices to matter.

Well spoken.
