Pretty much.  There is a group of people who are still allowed to be and encouraged to be offended.  You get to guess what group that is.

I'm not sure if this is offensive. It's a sensitive topic but Shep doesn't deny an afterlife, he (or possibly she) just says s/he doesn't know and Ash seems fine with it. I do think an option for Shep to say something along the lines of "I think there may be an afterlife." should be added. Remember, Shepard can agree with Ash's beliefs in ME1.

They are.  The guy on Reddit found it in the script and put the lines together w/ the romance scene to make a kind of storyboard like device.

The actual dialogue is from the leaked script, but the screenshots are just reused from the romance scene to make it look all pretty.

And then they went and basically had Shepard talk to God, become the messiah, and the rest of the crew land in the Garden of Eden. 

Yeah.

Endings are dumb. Can't be repeated enough.

Wow...this "deleted scene" is yet another example of a great and tender scene, but probably cut due to budget or time constraints. Whatever budget went into developing and supporing multiplayer should've been re-directed to finish scenes like this and provide a complete and coherent ending. I get the relationship of MP in a 'galactic' fight...but still...ME is a SP game; While some other Bioware studio was assigned the MP task, it must have had a funding source - a budget to work with, right? Deny all they want, but I feel MP did affect the single player campain.

Cutting this because it might offended someone is just a lame ass excuse. They is already content that would some one find offensives. Video Games creators need to learn that the people making those outlandish claims against them are going to it- if something is offensive or not. They are going to find something to be offended about..

So this great conversation about character trying to deal with being brought back from the dead. Gets cut - for something like Allers or a craptastic nonsensical ending.

Very sad this scene was not included, i actually didn't like what Ashley became on ME3, always second thought'ing my Shep even when she was my LI from ME1 and rekindled the relationship, i felt she was too much distrusting and at some point i didn't want to continue the relation with her anymore.
But this scene is great, it delivers a great punch on its final moments, when Shepards questions his very existence after the Normandy destruction on ME2, i would have wanted to see that conflict developed during ME3.

Ever since she mentioned god i ME1, I 've always thought Ash was Jewish. Maybe it has to do with her appearance I don't know . That said, its sad that this was cut out, such a beautiful scene.
