Wow, nice find.

Considering how Ash's faith is never identified by name, and how completely neutral this conversation is with regards to religion in any case, I find it hard to believe this could have offended. Real shame it was cut.

Ever since she mentioned god i ME1, I 've always thought Ash was Jewish. Maybe it has to do with her appearance I don't know :). That said, its sad that this was cut out, such a beautiful scene.

Wow, this is a good sence. Would have be great to see it in game, besides Ashley had little to do once she joins the Normandy crew again. This is really deep and a nice insight into Shepard's thoughts abotu the whole dying thing. Why did Bioware cut this?

Did the random star child god thing not approve?....So Bioware added that THING in but cut this out?
I do wounder if Bioware is losing it some times, I really do. At least this sence adds character development while the RSGT just destroys everything Mass Effect.

this makes me wonder, are they gonna add anything else to the extended cut besides the ending stuff?

Apologies if this has been asked for the nth time

They were probably afraid of some sort of life after death backlash. Some people just find any reason to complain it's a fantastic scene that actually makes me like ashley in a way.

That or they thought her complete mistrust of Shepard at the beginning of the game didn't fit this scene. Who knows what goes on in the magical space magic logic that is ME3

I'm athiest, but even if I was stupid enough to have a problem with the religious thing, its part of Ash's character. It's a shame they did not include it. It's a nice touch. Ash said very little once she got on the Normandy.

I really love that, I would have never seen it since I am an exclusive fem shep player but that deserved to be in the game. I love the insight into Shepard and really wish it had made it into the game. I would pay DLC to get it into my game.

Jesus Fu**ing Christ! Is this real?

@Bioware: I'm not a big fan of religious stuff but this is pure gold. This is not only giving a point tot he entire "Shepard died" thing, it is also validating the choice to save Ashley instead of Kaiden. And I guess he also had some dialogue for this scene (please a different one, otherwise leave it out. If it's the same it makes the choice pointless again)

Put this back in please. This fixes a HUGE load of issues both with Vermire AND the entire ME2 intro, not to mention the lack of character development of Shepard regarding his own death. This would fix a BUNCH of problems right there in one little scene and obviously most of the animation work seems already finished.

Bioware this scene alone is a goldmine. Please put this stuff back in. Either in the ending DLC or some paid romance DLC or whatever (which I'm not going to buy if the ending still sucks but it's still the right call)

Jesus... why would you cut something like this. This is PURE GOLD right there!

@Forum: people keep bumping this, this HAS TO go back in. It fixes a crapload of issues.

Though I do love the scene it doesn't match the character. I mean it does yes but not the way she was acting for most of the game. She doesn't even fully trust you until the failed coup at the Citadel. I'd understand throwing it in there after the citadel but for most of the game it didn't match her untrusting nature towards Shepard thinking that she/he was in Cerberus by his own will.

That and too many Variables. A lot of people killed her in 1 and a bunch of people probably killed her at the citadel if they were doing renegade. But who knows.

Which is exactly WHY this would be great to have. Finally a choice of yours would MATTER. You don't get this scene if she'd dead. So there's FINALLY some difference depending on how you played. You really consider that to be a bad thing? I consider that to be making my day!

I don't think this was cut from the game, but merely rewritten. Shepard's doubts about himself are revealed at the cerberus base if you find and view all consoles in there. In fact, pretty much the same dialogue...

No I don't consider it bad at all i'm merely playing devils advocate. If I don't Mass Effect 3 would've driven me to insane rage already for all the lacking descrpeancies.

As someone who romanced Ash/still loves the character for some reason, Wow I really wish we had this scene. Its alluded to on the Cerberus base kinda sorta similarly with the "Are you still you?" scene which was great....but this is that x7.

I hate that BioWare devoted everything into Liara. I have never liked her and probably never will. Her character is great....its just I dont like her! Hahahaha I dont know why.....just very offputting to me.

Something also I dunno if this adds anything to the discussion...but Liara had the Stargazer scene which was amazing on its own regard. It was really cool that a character my Shep had been distant with....that despite his coldness she was still really into him after I rejected her twice.

For Ashley as our special scene we got a half hearted scene with Sarah.....that was really disappointing. It was too similar to Miranda's loyalty mission. Id trade the Sarah scene for this easily.

Wish that was in the game, I felt Ashley didn't get much face time in ME3.
Hopefully that will be incorporated with the directors cut, probably not though.

It really doesn't come right out and say there is no afterlife and Ash seems to think the question still isn't answered.  I prefer it this way because it's a bit ambiguous and doesn't say one way another.  I mean an afterlife seems permanent but Shepard's death was not.  Just my two cents.

Jiminy Christmas.......here's hoping this gets inserted as part of something somewhere down the road.

I'm not really sure you could manage to offend the religious people (who are actually playing the game) with this.  I mean, Shepard cops to not knowing, not having the answers.

What more could you possibly want?

(slips bioware a $5 bill to throw this in somehwhere)

That scene really humanizes Shepard in a way that the rest of the game really fails to. I agree that it should be put back in!

It should really be easy to put this back in. It was probably planned as one of those scenes where you can invite your crew mates to your room. That would be incredibly easy to re-implement. And it would be one of the strongest of all those crew-scenes, because it adresses Shepard personally and evolves him as a character. This is exactly what is missing and it would do a lot to change Shepard's character from being mostly "a brick". It would even improve ME2's plot after the fact...

@Bioware: You wanted feedback? here it is: This scene is one of the strongest in the entire game. Put this back somehow. This even improves ME2.
