Topic.  I don't think the AI charges th GPS, but it IS longer range...But on the other hand, Claymore.

neither
squaddies are morons they will try to take enemies on at range with a shotgun...you need something with insane accuracy to offset that

Also, which power should I not max out, Energy Drain, or Sabotage? I only have enough points left to max out one, then put 3 points in the other.

Yaknow..I was gonna ask "any particular reason"...but I'm seriously stopping after Rannoch, which is full of geth.  I'm just calling the random reaper "Harbinger", and calling it a good game there.

So as far as I'm concerned..from now until the end, the majority of enemies are Geth.

She can handle it.  Granted if you give her a Paladin/Carnifex, why would you need a Crusader?

Never paid attention to that. She's my least used character, and after a few Insanity runs I just use her for Energy Drain/Sabotage.

GPS. I tried her with the Claymore and she misses just way too many shots. And Sabotage makes her by far the best squad mate to take against Geth IMO.

Oh don't waste ur time giving her the Crusader. She can already just carry a Paladin or Carnifex.

I tend to avoid having her use shotguns. I like to give her, and other pistol-wielding squadmates, the Scorpion. I don't care if it's not the most effective, having both squadmates using Scorpions is hilarious. *explode all the things!*

As stated above, give her the Crusader, it's basically a sniper-shotgun. You can't go wrong with that.

It's gonna be trial and error really, my personal prefernce is the claymore, I kill everything with it nicely, can solo an atlas on silver with ease, you can one shot phantoms (haha?) and it makes a nice noise when you fire it. Pair it with the tempest or the locust with extra clips and ammo recycler for lightweight backup.

Give Tali the Geth Plasma Shotgun. Simple reason: Shield/Barrier Damage gating.

GPS fires three slugs; the first one that hits and reduces the protection to zero will have its damage reduced (by100% on Insanity, I think 50% on normal). The other two will do full damage to Health/Armor.

The Crusader only fires one single slug, meaning you always have to hit a protected target at least twice to kill it. It can penetrate light cover and is very accurate, but I don't know how good Tali is with it.

GPS ignores Shield Gating completley (on all difficulty levels) (otherwise it would suck as only the center projectile does good/most of the damage)

GPS also ignores Armor DR ...

It doesn't really matter. You should not rely on squadmates to deal any damage whatsoever, they suck at that (which is why Soldier class squadmates are the worst since ME1).

Use them as your "extended powers".

Really? I found Garrus with a Revenant to be quite effective on Insanity. True, I didn't use Vega/Ash much, but squadmate AI and damage definitely was step up from ME2 (if not quite at ME1 levels).

Yeah, but Ashley and Vega have lackluster powers. Garrus at least has Overload, which is a good power in any situation.

The GPS is an awesome weapon, but god help me I still prefer the super-heavy, slow reload one-shot per clip claymore:devil:  If you can get on a roll with it, you can just stroll through the waves without needing to charge up shots and those panic-fire misses I see and do with the other shotties.  Every claymore shot counts and it forces me to up my game.
