No, it explicitly states there will be.

No it doesn't "explicitly" state anything of the kind.  Unless by explicitly, you mean "non-commitally".  However, it HAS bee explicitly stated you will get new resurgence cards at random in normal packs.

"Reinforcement Packs" is an umbrella term used for anything you can get in the MP store. Check out the in game Manual under "Extras". Under the Multiplayer Tab, #2.5 talks about the Store and #7 talks all about "Reinforcement Packs".

They might do special packs later on that include only Resurgence items just like they did with special consumable only packs. As far as why no one's gotten new stuff, who knows but it's not because we're waiting on "Reinforcement Packs".

You clearly didn't watch the whole video. They stated quite clearly that they hadn't figured out yet how that would all work... IF a booster pack would be available or for how long... only that they thought it would be temporary if made available at all.

The only info from a dev about the booster back comes from a response in Twitter when asked if a pack would be made available that had a higher than average chance at delivering resurgence cards... to which he responded "There will."

No word about what that pack is or when it might be available. Not one bit of solid statement from BioWare.

Well there is not a new pack in the store which sucks because the characters are probably going to be very hard to unlock ( atleast for me because the store has a personal vendetta against me)

you just download the update off of the dashboard (360 clearly) and load the game, then be sad :s

It really isn't surprising that people expect one of the main features of the DLC to be available when the DLC is released.

I'm naturally skeptical, though, so I have no intention of buying anything until I see multiple people confirming that they're unlocking stuff.

I believe only PS3 users get it on the 11th in Europe.

I have played both maps now and they are pretty cool! Especially the moon map (with a terrific yet at the same time horrific view on Palaven). Love the ambient atmosphere. They did a great job.

The Hydra base is cool too, the views are nice; icebergs and the water crashing down is beautiful too.

When a company releases DLC, the presumption is that it is ready to play.  I've never received DLC (free or otherwise) which was not available for use the moment it finished installing.

No, but BioWare has proven they don't like following established traditions/expectations/patterns already, so why would I expect them to adhere to THIS one?

By that token they would already have those special packs available, and the DLC characters able to be unlocked, yet reports from the XBOX community says, even after blowing 2 million on packs, not a single character or weapon has unlocked. Which just furthers my own belief that the people in charge at BioWare are either ignorant of how things should work, or just are doing what they want. (I used to play SWTOR, they crapped all over weekly maintence day as well as update days, etc).

Bought by EA, infected with their corporate mantra, compare Bioware back in the "partnered with 2k days" to the BioWare you have seen since EA bought them.


Side note, many of the now LEAD project runners were just help in the old days, James Ohlen, Mac Waters, Drew, Casey, now they're the top men and well...I wish we had the old leads back.
