I was all for a new ending, donating to charity, the letter campaign, and letting the developers know our thoughts in a civil manner. I don't like how some things are going in the video game industry and I had hoped that retake would be a nice way to voice our concerns and show that we do care how things go down in this industry. We are the customers after all.

However I really think this is too far. We have BioWare's attention. They are attempting to fix things in a compromise with the fan base. Personally I think it's possible that the DLC will make the ending satisfying for me. If retake is going to go this far then I'm out. This really does make us look like entitled brats. =/

I don't get it with you people. What is it that affects you so much that you have to argue, criticize and constantly fight with the Retakers? If you want your endings so badly go ahead and keep them, let us have ours we're not stopping you from keeping your endings. I'm sure everyone would be fine with getting alternate endings instead of a complete rewrite. 

You people argue and criticize us for nothing, I just don't get it. What is it that you are defending? "Artistic integrity"? BioWare's pride? EA? The future of gaming? 

If you have nothing to say but instead just want to criticize, argue and insult without a reason then don't waste your time, go enjoy Mass Effect 3 and its endings, I'm sure you'll do yourself and everyone else a favor.

I'm a fan, and I'm part of the Bioware community. Additionally I supported a new ending, although was turned off by some of the excessiveness.

This though, this is rediculous. It's a massive expense for something that does NOTHING, other than gets picked up by some websites which will comment on how rediculous it is.

Bioware has commented on the ending, they have said they will do something, although they won't change it. That is definitive. Now it's just an attempt to take another stab before they leave, and that's sad.

Future of gaming? why would a billboard threaten the future of gaming? you're really going off the tangent with such wild assumptions. This backlash is because the people that loves Mass Effect, it wouldn't have happened with other game, is what you get for trashing the ending of a superb franchise. Even If this billboard makes EA to fall and die then other company would take its place, we aren't soiling the ground with salt.
In any case, EA itself is the one threatening the future of gaming, the rushed development of ME3 proves it.

It threatens gaming in two ways. First, gamers are still stereotyped as socially inept, loveless losers living in their parents' basement. If this billboard thing happens, that stereotype will be cemented forever. Secondly, BioWare and other developers may just go, "okay we just won't do games like that anymore.", and e

This is some pretty serious 'slippery slope fallacy' argument. You have no proof of that conclusion, really I think this is a good thing for gaming. It shows that developers can no longer ignore their consumers; that people can band together and wont just accept lies and PR tricks. With Kickstarter setting up a variable revolution for gaming on the horizon, this is a beautiful moment for gaming all together.

But they haven't ignored you. They put all their paid DLC plans on hold to give us the Extended Cut DLC, for free, to try and clear some things up.

It's a desperate PR move, they realized things have gotten out of hand and that it wont just blow over like with DA2. It's a start, it's a big step in the right direction, but Bioware knows very well that it was never what we asked for.  We don't want clarity. At very least, we want an alternate ending,

You have no proof that this billboard campaign will actually do anything positive either. I do know that it has the possibility of resulting in something either very good, or very bad. No in between. It'll get noticed. It'll get blown out of proportion (actually I don't know how much more this can get blown out of proportion), and something will happen. I'm banking on the worse. 

I guess that's where we differ, because i'm banking on the better. 

Have you stopped to consider that maybe doing a new ending just isn't realistic? Maybe its just too difficult to patch out a massive chunk of code that's hard written to the disc. And even if they did make a whole new ending the way you wanted it, it wouldn't necessarily be what others wanted. So the whole thing would just get worse. That's why I think the vague endings are brilliant. We can just headcanon our own epilogue.

I'm not arguing,infact, the quote you took this from was to someone I was agreeing with. You realized that right? it doesn't help your point at all lol. If I want my endings? they were never mine, they were Bioware's. You don't have an ending and never will. I think you have been living under a rock for the last 5 weeks sir, your side is the aggressive one just like you are being confrontational with me atm lol.

I do enjoy how you tell me not to waste my time, but your side has spent much much more complaining and fighting every article, every company, and every pro ender since launch

Since the game might not be coming out , you might have a accident and never see the return of your money .
Honestly with that reasoning , isn´t it best to stay home go to work sleep , those are the only secure things in life..

Since it is free , wait one moment , sorry you paid for a game cause you know it worth certain entertainment
and you like the company .

If you want everything free in life , it is available free in life , just take some searching .

People I do not argue for retake , I argue I am donating to a billboard cause I want too ...
