Man people just dont seem to know restraint where its needed. They're already trying to do something about it at least hold off on such things until the Extended Cut actually comes out.

I'm referring to a thread on the holdtheline.com forums. If you have questions, they're answered there.

This is ridiculous. I wouldn't even support this if I was against the ending. You wonder why you get called spoiled self-entitled brats? Because you act like brats. You're gonna spend God knows how much money to change an ending to a $60 game just to get BioWare's attention, attention that you already have and have had for a while nonetheless?

Please quit while y'all are ahead. For our sake.

We're trying to prove a point. The point being that collectively, we'd rather flush our money down a toilet than be tempted to spend a dime on DLC, or another EA game.

I really dont think they want anything from bioware,

this has just become a platform for some, and i mean some people to endulge the need for attention in an over populated world.

retake did its job,and it benefited us all,so kudos for getting us extra content.

but these daft schemes are just going to wreck the whole thing.

ps..i am seriouly expecting bioware to announce scrappiung all future mass effect games and dlc as its obviously causing some people serious mental issues.

I say wait until after the extended cut DLC releases before you got all out to ****** EA/Bioware off because they could just decide enough is enough and just cut all support to ME3, no more patches, no more MP, no more anything.,

Right, wait for a DLC which they have said will not actually address any of the concerns about what is wrong with the ending, just try to expand on the garbage that is already there. It's not going to make it stink any less.

So sure, we could wait while they devote time and resources to delivering a something we already know won't work, for free. And then we'll get it, and we'll outcry that it still sucks. Only this time, they get to be the good guys. "See, we spent all this time, all this effort  to give them this for free, what more do they want?" And they'll be even less inclined to make anything new, since they've already spent all that money to make something to address the endings for free. It's a lose lose situation.

This is an appropriate way to sum it up.  With the sparse details they have given, it's safe to assume they're delivering something that won't fix the problem, and when they do, they can turn it around on anyone still angry and say, "We gave you what you want, now go away."  And they'll look like the good guys while doing it.

100% agree the extended cut will not do , unless they say they are adding addiotional endings to it .
The only thing it does is waste money and resources for pleasing what fans ?
Those who are already happy ? or to restore there image they care so much about there own failure to deliver a consistent story ending ?

Cause currently the ending is full of plot holes , that even amateur writers knows it .
Maybe it can go into history , how ending matters , especially when the story is epic .

They've already announced an ending DLC. This serves no purpose other than to say "We know you've already announced something and you haven't done it yet, but, um ... we're still p'd off anyway and we thought we'd throw money away to show it".

There's not even any possible way that this could be converted into something positive, like with the cupcakes.

They could alternatively do absolutely nothing. They could make no mention about any of the criticism, and of the speculation, and of the hatred. They could've eaten the cupcakes they received and laughed. They could've done jack s*** about anything, and every single one of us would have to deal with that, whether we liked the ending or not. Taking the Retake movement further than it needs to go can have a the same result (without the cupcakes). This movement right here...this is a lose-lose situation, and I will be damned if this ruins any future for me as a gamer!

And ? i rather have a no voice over ending , with just story lines and cinematic or a narrator telling me what happened . then the current so called linear ending .

That they want to extend ? to solve there mistakes ?

Holy crap ... I just saw the prices. $10,000 for one billboard. And $32,000 if you want one near Bioware.

With that amount of money, you'd do more positive things by burning it to keep old ladies warm than with this rubbish.

Thats exactly what im afraid of it wouldn't surprise me if they gave up on the series from all the tons of negative feedback. Im hoping for the best with Mass Effect 3 and good luck to Bioware for dealing with all the rage.

Yeah, I've read all I need to.

Honestly, if you really felt like flushing your money down a toilet, you could send me $3k to buy a new car or a few hundred to fix the one I have to the point I don't have to worry about fixing it for a while.  I mean, I'm out of work as it is and the money definitely won't go to waste on me.

Spending thousands for a change to a $70 game?  I'm dumbfounded.

We're not spending thousands on a 70 dollar game. We're asking each member to donate to the billboard cause what they would normally spend on an EA DLC. And the next time they see DLC they want, choose not to buy it. Is that so unreasonable? 10 dollars? My car is broke down, too, and I have a 1 month old daughter in the house, but I still believe in giving my 10 dollars to something beside EA's pocket.
