I'm referring to a thread on the holdtheline.com forums. If you have questions, they're answered there.

This is ridiculous. I wouldn't even support this if I was against the ending. You wonder why you get called spoiled self-entitled brats? Because you act like brats. You're gonna spend God knows how much money to change an ending to a $60 game just to get BioWare's attention, attention that you already have and have had for a while nonetheless?

Please quit while y'all are ahead. For our sake.

We're trying to prove a point. The point being that collectively, we'd rather flush our money down a toilet than be tempted to spend a dime on DLC, or another EA game.

And what point is that? that the retake movement is willing to spend over a hundred thousand dollars to try and change the last 5 mins of a 60$ game?

You know the Occupy movment that swept the nation and the world took no money at all, and made a far bigger impact than your hoping to. Go ahead spend thousands of dollars to try and let EA know that your upset. Like they really care.

or

its easy to fight a war with someone elses wallet.

My saying is better than yours:devil:

Yeah, I've read all I need to.

Honestly, if you really felt like flushing your money down a toilet, you could send me $3k to buy a new car or a few hundred to fix the one I have to the point I don't have to worry about fixing it for a while.  I mean, I'm out of work as it is and the money definitely won't go to waste on me.

Spending thousands for a change to a $70 game?  I'm dumbfounded.

I need a few thousand to pay off my student loans. Maybe they can help me out there as well...

Holy crap ... I just saw the prices. $10,000 for one billboard. And $32,000 if you want one near Bioware.

With that amount of money, you'd do more positive things by burning it to keep old ladies warm than with this rubbish.

It is not about the money , it is about the statement , sorry freedom is not free was the slogan in Iraq .
Well opnions are not free either unless you back it up , that is the modern world .
You put money where your mouth is . or don´t do a thing .

We're not spending thousands on a 70 dollar game. We're asking each member to donate to the billboard cause what they would normally spend on an EA DLC. And the next time they see DLC they want, choose not to buy it. Is that so unreasonable?

... I hope you see the irony, seeing as you're trying to get rid of something that you think doesn't make any sense.

Man people just dont seem to know restraint where its needed. They're already trying to do something about it at least hold off on such things until the Extended Cut actually comes out.

I really dont think they want anything from bioware,

this has just become a platform for some, and i mean some people to endulge the need for attention in an over populated world.

retake did its job,and it benefited us all,so kudos for getting us extra content.

but these daft schemes are just going to wreck the whole thing.

ps..i am seriouly expecting bioware to announce scrappiung all future mass effect games and dlc as its obviously causing some people serious mental issues.

Thats exactly what im afraid of it wouldn't surprise me if they gave up on the series from all the tons of negative feedback. Im hoping for the best with Mass Effect 3 and good luck to Bioware for dealing with all the rage.

not only ME. To avoid people who get to attached they just might rip the decisions and choices from all their games and be straight through storylines

That is your problem , cause you need to work first to get where some people are . before you can express your opnion ... that is how the society works nowadays .
If you cannot make on your own without loans , you are already indebted for the rest of your life.
Especially when you finish your studies , so you are already coming out with 5 years of debt once you finish your studies , and congrats you didn´t complain about it .

The statement is about showing that you'd rather waste MONEY on something else then not spend MONEY on future DLC made by BioWare.

It is about the money.

And doing a extended cut of failed ending is not a waste of money ?
That appease nothing ?

And waste of money isn´t it up to the people to decide if they want to waste money on entertainment or not.
And currently we live in a money world , were millions being wasted each day .

Atleast this time people can decide to waste money for themself or not .

Isn´t it my money I worked for ?
Isn´t it my money I can decide to spent since burning it is illegal , but how I spent is not .
And if people strongly believe there voice are heard , then it is money well spent .

That you become envious that is another problem , but one day you will get there too , that you say he !
It is only money atleast I get to use money how I want , instead of paying off debt .
