Does anyone remember the PW called Trials of Newcastle?
I used to play there almost exclusively until it vanished a few years back.
Anyway, I noticed some recent activity on their vault and saw this:
http://nwvault.ign.c...d=86209&id=2389
It was removed but the category was "Persistent world" and I wondered if it was an offline playable version of the server module.
If anyone here happens to have this, please please please message me.

Yeah, I used to play there to. My characters were Dorish Larghasa (a minotaur) and Silence Dogood (a silver-skinned gnome). I miss that server. I reinstalled NWN a few months ago and then found out it was gone. That made me a little sad. Always played with this guy wwith the character Trent (a Hias palidin). Do you remember the DM Darth Maul? He was legit.

I wish more world builders would post their mods when they "retire" their servers. That way their legacy can be carried on by current players, either by hosting it themselves, or playing it off-line. I also miss a certain action server and it's faded into oblivion. It was called Zombieland 24/7. It was a great place to level pre HOTU 1-20. HOTU kinda killed it I think.

Seconded. Always surprised me that after all that time and effort, sometimes years and years of honing and perfecting, that such a work of art's ultimate destiny is to vanish without a trace. I know there are certain creators who probably prefer it that way for whatever reason but I think most of it is unintentional.wkbuilder wrote...

Yeah It's sort of like a Buddhist sand painting, where they painstakingly create a mandala out of colored sand, grain by grain, over a week or so and then sweep it away. Maybe it's a sort of example of our lives. I put up Second God War, but not many people played there anyway. My latest one 'Orilion Nights' I will put up too as a giant demo. It is a little sad that more people don't put up their now defunct on line worlds.

Wow! Was just thinking of ToN today! I was DethPike on there, that weird golem wizard guy thing.
I've been playing on Forlorn - it's a good time. Can RP, grind, has totally free outfit crafting.... basically do whatever.
If any of you guys/gals still play the ol' NWN sometimes, you oughta pop in

Gamespy no longer has a master "list" for any servers
But servers and PWs are trying to cobble together their own! NWN just won't die! LOL
