The majority in both this and the other thread condemn this idea. The poll would reflect that and OP wants to pretend it is a valid idea so excludes the option to say how stupid it is in their poll.

I consider an 8k gap over "just a billboard" to be extreme, yes, especially if it's just to be humorous. But, then again, I'm not wealthy, which is why I'm glad the Extended Cut will be free.

Hell of an expensive and noticeable "joke". But, if it's supposed to be humorous, then is it really a strong action?

FFS this is redonk. Just take solace in knowing that Bioware are the writers of the most illogical and poorly written Sci-Fi ending ever. I realize you love the game, but all you're doing is taking away my ability to spread the idiocy of the ending without being ridiculed as an extremist whom files FTC complaints and sets up billboards.

Not really. Mostly because we planned this already for 1 month..the community at least. It took us at least 2 weeks to get a deal with the billboard company, and not much of a deal at that. It's taken alot of planning from us. So we would like to see this get done. 

Though we respect those who don't.

This thread is funny, but also hard to read. People are trolling the OP so hard. The retake mass effect people sent her to the wolves here.

I think that billboards are a waste of space, nobody seriously reads them or remembers them. Buy ad space on popular gaming sites like the escapist. Seeing flashing retake mass effect ads will drive the movement home.

The Op stated they cannot use the name mass effect 3 or bioware...well then that makes the message impossible to send.

I also would prefer to donate to a charity a second time around for more positive press. Also there are ways of getting ea's attention more directly. I honestly think bioware gets it at this point. The reality is all dlc requires funding. The improved endings are probably a big step on their part already.

Using retake wasn't meant to associate us with the fb group. So my bad there. I literally meant RETAKE mass effect 3 the video game..didn't really think it through, sorry.

I hated the ending as much as the next person, but I'm not sold on the billboard idea.

BioWare are a lot of things, but they're not usually stupid. I personally think the ending was rediculous on so many levels. But I'm also not unreasonable. I'm proud that we were able to encourage upcoming DLC that'll expand on the endings, and I'm pretty sure BioWare are very, very, very, very much aware of every concern we have. Call me nuts, but I'm pretty confident the feedback they asked us to provide isn't sitting in a drawer gathering dust and mould.

The billboard has too many Retakers divided on the issue and it's just going to drive a gigantic wedge between public opinion of the movement, and the movement itself. The general media did not paint it in a positive light while it was at its most united. While I genuinely believed we had something solid backing us at the time, and legitimate cause for concern, I think right now it's way too early in the DLC development schedule to start this kind of protest. It's not going to raise any more attention than has already been raised.

Let me reiterate. I'm from the Retake movement. I think the current end to the game is unsatisfactory on so many levels. (I just had dinner with a bunch of friends, all of whom spent the night complaining about the ending. This is after spending the day at work listening to a variety of co-workers, some of whom I know and some who I don't, also bringing up the ending in rather unfavorable lights). And even I still think this is a bad idea. I'm willing to give BioWare a chance to deliver with some good ending content. It might not be everything I want, but it's certainly better than what we currently have. And I can't in good faith dump on BioWare when they've yet to even show us what they have in mind.

Also, billboards are an ancient, terrible medium that not many people read. Even the keen-eyed Mass Effect fan is going to be a little bewildered when they drive ast the sign for a few seconds and dont have too much time to soak in the ambiguously presented message.

Seconded. I have less problem with some crackpot like the OP who wants to rail at the world demanding something like this; I have a large issue when they speak out of one side of their mouth "that they don't speak for Retake ME", but still spam it in giant capslock letters in their thread and in their annoucements.

Crap like this frankly stretches well beyond the concept of rational discussion with Bioware, and gets into the nerd raging pandering that just makes the community as a whole look bad. BW and EA agreed to release their DLC, instead of waiting to actually SEE what they're producing, this just sets back all of the goodwill and effort that the actual Retake movement had gained.

I do not support, and I will work actively against this idea.

Like I said earlier, this isn't my poll. Micheal is the creator of this campaign, the creator of the original poll. I would have to speak with him first to change the poll on our site, and then change it on various other sites as well.

This time with option to disagree to even stand the slightest chance of being taken seriously.

You won't however as you can see from both this thread and the others the amount of people against this is truly immense. That is the sole reason you excluded a non agreement option and why you won't add one. Honestly if you wasted a month coming up with this idea take the hint from the reactions here how silly this idea is and spend your time more productively from now on.

Yeah, it may not be what a lot of us who dislike the ending want, but they have already explained that the Extended Cut DLC is all we will get regarding the issue. At this point in time we have NO IDEA if it will address a lot of the concerns that individuals like myself have or not. We won't know anything until they release it and it has been experienced.

This is a wasted effort. Especially now that the Extended Cut DLC has been announced. It's now a moot point and you're pushing for something, for the sake of pushing for something.

Strange. I've been on the BSN every day since a couple of weeks before ME3 came out. Surprising that this is the first I've heard of it. Too bad there wasnt a poll among Retake because I used to stand with the movement, but for me this is taking things too far. One billboard will accomplish absolutely nothing. Perhaps it would have been a wise idea to poll the Retake supporters if they thought this was a good idea, because it seems all this billboard thing will do is split the Retake movement. Good job helping EA out by dividing us though.

We personally believe it's a cause worth pushing. Is it moot? Maybe in your opinion. But in ours, we believe it's far from over.
