^ This. I highly doubt that Retake Mass Effect will support this as a movement. It's unnecessary and overly divisive.

Not really. Mostly because we planned this already for 1 month..the community at least. It took us at least 2 weeks to get a deal with the billboard company, and not much of a deal at that. It's taken alot of planning from us. So we would like to see this get done. 

Though we respect those who don't. 

Strange. I've been on the BSN every day for since ME3 came out. Surprising that this is the first I've heard of it. Too bad there wasnt a poll among Retake because I used to stand with the movement, but for me this is taking things too far. One billboard will accomplish absolutely nothing. Perhaps it would have been a wise idea to poll the Retake supporters if they thought this was a good idea, because it seems all this billboard thing will do is split the Retake movement. Good job helping EA out by dividing us though.

The original plan had 17 billboards throughout the local Edmenton area...but the 32k price tag was a bit steep.

Using retake wasn't meant to associate us with the fb group. So my bad there. I literally meant RETAKE mass effect 3 the video game..didn't really think it through, sorry. 

This is the sticking point for a lot of people, I'm sure. Like I said previously, you can spend your money however you want, I disagree completely, but I'm not going to stop you. What I do take issue with is the perception that you are claiming to speak for everyone against the endings. If that is indeed mistaken, as you seem to indicate, you could save yourself a lot of grief by just editing out "Retake Mass Effect" and making it clear that you are independent from the movement bearing that name.

My main concern is people who think we need to "shut up" or "wait and see" until the ending dlc comes out...even though Bioware has come right out and said (with almost no explanation) that they have no plans to change the endings.

So in my view, nothing has changed since last Thursday.  We still feel that the ME franchise is deserving of a new ending (or at least the option to experience a new ending in addition to the provided ones), and Bioware continues to disagree.

I sincerely hope that I'm wrong and that the dlc fixes the mess.  Until then, many of us will remain vocal about our concerns in hopes that some of them might be heard and implemented.

I really just want a better ending, not clarification. I'm not asking for it to be happier, I just want to not be confused anymore. The ending is something that came out of no where, so I would ask them about that....Oh, and why don't any of my choices over the 3 games make any difference. I want that answered too....And maybe tell me if Shepherd is indoctrinationed, at the end. and while we are at it I really want to know what happened to Anderson to make him run the way that he ran in the very beginning tutorial section. It was something so horrible i will never forget it.

Yeah, I think this needs to be clarified that this idea is not representative of the entire Retake community. This billboard idea just gives me a really bad feeling. I'm confident that BioWare are aware of this, though. Unfortunately, I doubt most media outlets will make the same distinction.

Then you shouldn't probably pass along the information  that the majority of this thread was devoted to people saying this was a bad and destructive idea. Otherwise you just give info which seems to imply non-existent support.

I love the way you pretend to speak for many by always saying we and referring to retake. Read your own thread, vast amounts of retake are against this not just those outside it because they have common sense and know the end result will severely damage your group. You wasted a month on such a silly idea. Look at the reactions here and multiply it by thousands or millions and realise how the media and other gamers will react the same way. Time to wake up and smell the coffee. Burst that ego of yours and come out into the real world.

Exactly. 

Bioware has had plenty of time to give further insight as to what the ending dlc could entail. Let's be realistic...it's free..it's releasing in summer thus there taking only a few months to develop it...the content is probably short and the changes probably will be minor at best.

If this is truly a "scream loud enough until we're heard" mentality ...where does it end? In fact, would it ever end short of them meeting every exact demand? It may not be flilping cars, but if this doesn't work...how far will people go?

As I've said, someone should alert the Retake people on Facebook. That way, the negativity will hopefully be lessened against them. They took enough flak over the single FTC complaint ...no need for them to defend themselves for the actions of a group, who, I guess, accidentally associated themselves with the movement in general.

This is not the message the person who runs the FB page conveys. I understand the www.holdtheline.com community has tried to contact him and unite. This hasn't happened yet.
