Am I really going to have to continually debunk this as something that isn't going to happen right now, if ever (Michael posted about that earlier ) because a mod won't lock this thread? :(

Do your lives somehow revolve around Mass Effect?

Because the amount of money some of you must be pinning down in these campaigns is just plain insane.

And note that I am not flaming or acting offensive towards any of you, I just think that this whole thing has been spinning out of control at a rapid pace ever since it began, and it gets worse as each day that Bioware doesn't conform to you personally goes by.

Thank you for your opinion, but remember sometimes it isn't about petty goals, sometimes it's about being part of something greater and achieving something you could never do on your own.

I have always wanted my own billboard, I mean, who hasn't thought about it?  Srsly.  For myself, I have a lot of emotional investment.  I expected YEARS (on top of the ones I already have enjoyed) of replay ability for ME.

You just proved his point btw

If people want to waste that much money because they weren't happy with a toy, so be it.

For me, no thanks.

This has been suspended for now by Michael at HTL. The OP hasn't been updated.

Do I need to post this on every page since we can't seem to get this locked? He confirmed OP shouldn't have spoken for them.

Well, it sure seems like you and many others can't let a video game ending go.. and have been whining over it for over 5 weeks. it makes you look a little unhealthy does it not? I don't believe in space magic (I stop playing games when I turn off my games), I understood the ending, but thanks anyway

The locking of the thread over there by Michael is troubling at best. "The project is going back to the drawing board for revaluation" sounds like a few people are making this decision in a vaccuum. Why not continue to have an open dialogue about it?

Why does being active and involved in something automatically make it the only thing I'm involved it at all, or care about?  And how is it unhealthy?  And there's that 'whining' insult again. Why does creating dialogue and awareness make it whining?  Yeah, there are whiners.  Yeah, they can be pretty whiny.  But the majority have well-reasoned arguments and points; data to back it all up.

And the problem is we all understood the ending, far too well.  The magicky speculations comments?

That was a joke.

@teno

I feel sorry for the HTL people they claim to represent who don't support this.

It's unfortunate when the few try to speak for the many since the many (fans in general ) don't exactly have a "leader". ME3 fans have tried to distinguish themselves in a way that I can't blame people for being confused about, but again, the actions of one group, even an individual, can be generalized as "the fans want this" or "the fans are doing this".

My point is that people outside the BSN, Retake, HTL, etc probably don't care about making a distinction. To them, it's "the fans", so if people decide to do insane stunts like this, they need to be fully aware of the consequences for "the fans", not just their own movement inside a movement.

Again, this has been suspended for now.

GBGriffiin, if you don't want to read the thread or don't like their website don't go there. You're essentially trolling at this point and poorly. If anything you should be ashamed of yourself since you're supporting "Eric" making executive decisions while bashing a crowd-sourced idea(according to numerous thread posters you've ignored).

Also as a note, I'd rather see billboards than Shepard Shuffle videos of retakers making fools of themselves, to paraphrase "THIS HURTS US"

Your defense is for me to not go to their site? I haven't, actually. Notice that I'm not registered there.

I've only responded to this thread on this site, which someone from their movement started asking for input, then swiftly asked for us to hold off on our input.

If you feel I'm trolling or being unreasonably offensive, then please report me. The fact you support this idea, however, gives me little reason to care about anything you might have to say about me, as I've already written you off as a supporter of this insanity.

I will not be offended, and if I'm banned for protesting this awful decision, then so be it. Hopefully, if you report me, a moderator can see how this thread is no longer needed and the OP is now, officially, outdated and misleading.

Glad to see GBGriffin in here fighting the good fight. Shame this thread hasn't been locked or updated. Still legit embarrassed that this idea was seriously considered (and the poll on their little forum only said nay by a small margin).

This might have at least something to do with the slightness of the margin:

if your not a htl member please do not vote in our thread. we will post one later here. we don't want our own personal numbers to be skewed purely because of the influx of new members stuffing the ballot.

Also, the OP is not updated with the following. Either get someone to update the OP, or lock this thread.

If you feel I'm trolling, then, please, report this exact post so a moderator can read this update:

To Update - This Campaign is suspended until further notice. Our intention has never been to divide the movements involed, and seeing as how this campaign threatens that, it has been suspended pending review. We are currently taking climate polls to judge the complete feel of the entire community (both Retake and HTL) and we pray that any damage done by announcing our intentions can be reversed.

I would like to attempt to contain this, but I think it may be difficult at this point. Please be assured that as the head of this initiative, know that I did not know this thread existed until now. I wont get into details, but aside from the information provided in the original post, I am not tied to any information or opinions provided here.

THIS CAMPAIGN HAS BEEN SUSPENDED.

If you would like to be a part of the fate of this campaign, please join us on the Holtheline.com forums to discuss where this is going, and how we can focus on an initiative more of the community can get behind and support.

I personally am sorry that this has been both portrayed and received in the way is has been.
I take responsibility for this campaign, and any concerns you have regarding can be directed to me. I appreciate your concerns and we are doing everything we can to rectify this. Please understand that division was never our intent.

Michael Spaulding

The OP still says "created about 18 hours ago; modified about 11 hours ago" a full....5 minutes, now, since you posted that the OP was updated. I also don't see his statement, which I even quoted, in the OP.

Hi again, btw :)

*edit* Going on 15 minutes now by my count with no edit of Michael's statement into the OP of this thread...for those of us keeping count.

*edit* 20 minutes

sorry my internet randomly shut down before i got the chance to post it. It's there now^

"This project is currently on hold, as we determine the climate of our community in regards to this initiative. We will be suspending this campaign until further notice. For any further information on this campaign, or it's suspension, please visit the HTL forums.

Before posting on this thread, please understand that this very campaign is being reviewed. It's clear there are multiple ideas regarding this campaign, and we will be consulting the retake community as to whether or not we will continue with this.

Please understand that it was never intended for us to divide the community, and I sincerely apologize for any actions that might have mistakenly resulted in such.

Once again I want to apologize for everything. Emotions ran high, and some words were better left un-said. I'm truly, truly sorry. The last things that we wanted to do was create any further division in a union that is so sorely needed.

I'll admit it. This project is something that we worked on for a while (lets not get into the whole month debat, please) and something that took alot of effort. I naively wanted everyone to say how much they loved this project, and stupidly wanted everyone's support. I got frusterated to see what was occuring, and spoke completely out of turn. I was unrespectful and rude, and you guys deserve more than that.

That's why were putting on the brakes with this project for the best interest of the whole community.

Thanks,
KeilxKey.

To clarify: Keilx is clearly a member of the HTL forums, but that being said, he does not represent this campaign, nor does he represent the HTL forums. I do not know who Keil is, and I do no associate with him. Until he identifies himself, I hold no claim to his identity or his being involved with this campaign in part, or in whole.

Yes, I'm Jim on HTL. I was the one who first proposed this concept on the HTL Forums. I was part of the internal discussions regarding the details of the project. Micheal did most of the heavy lifting though.
