This is a dumb idea. At least wait till you see the Extended Cut to be an obnoxious fan.

I didn't like the ending, but I'm confident I will be gratified by the Extended Cut. I'm not sure what you hope to accomplish with this other than to irritate the developers.

Thanks for the feedback, were listening to all your concerns!

I'd rather we collect donations for copies of Mass Effect discs and ship it to Bioware, but then they'll prolly just repackage them and resell.

Get billboard in Berkley California in the US to try and troll(don't even pretend it's anything else) a Canadian developer owned by a company based out of a city an hour away.

Smaaarrrttt.

Both are Canadian. The best statment would be to do it out of Edmonton if you really want to get peoples attention at Bioware and Montreal for EA (if they as most of Canada have a cenral HQ in that location).

But hey, I can tell you exactly what will happen if you do that.

I was refering to EA being an hour away.

And if anyone honestly believes this will put any pressure on EA by anyone at all, you're just so wrong. If this reaches any news the people who will be put in a negative light by this point in the race(and yes, it is a race) are the fools who are willing to throw their apparently limitless pits of money at something so childishly ridiculous that it seems like a joke even reading it.

Bioware has adressed your issue that the ending was incohesive and they are actively working on strategies and ways to make it a cohesive experience. Just because they didn't use Indoctrination Theory doesn't mean anything. No one will take your side anymore, just because Forbes didn't think you were being whiny little brats before Bioware said that they are working on a free addendum to the ending doesn't mean that after they've said they're working to adress concerns that you can keep bashing your fists on the ground and everyone will continue to side with you.

Think of it this way. You're in a store, and you hear a kid an aisle over crying because his mom won't buy him a toy. After 5 minutes you're shouting in your head "Just give him the damned toy, do anything to shut him up!" And she promises to give him the toy. Then 5 minutes later he's crying again and at that point who do you blame, the kid or the parent? I blame the kid, because he obviously can't comprehend that crying will not always get what you want.

Congrats, you have all become that whining 5 year old that everyone who has ever had to walk through a store hates because they just won't shut their traps when they get what they want.

Hey I only want to be able to take a bus down to Biowares HQ and take pictures of the Billboard and laugh at it. I don't support this idea or any of the revolting that has gone on over the ending.

Which means you must be somewhat new to the forums or don't view this branch very often.

This is when the retake movement becomes a little silly. I have faith in Bioware that they will put this right, and so should you.

It's a video game, more so than that it's the last 10 minutes of a video game. Time to grow up.

Honestly if you have nothing better to do with your time or your money at this stage I feel sorry for you.

then why even purchase a video game to begin with? this is a very weak arguement people make all the time. also you wrote YOUR MONEY so what does it matter what they do with it?

It's been a month, Bioware have offered a half way house solution of which some of retake wanted from the start and others did not. Let's not kid outselves here this has no longer anything to do with the ending for many, it's a power trip. At this stage it is childish and after a month of the constant whining, it would seem more inclined to think those who are planning on throwing such money away on billboards are nothing more than people with real life emotional issues.

Hell even my friend who has owned almost every single Bioware game (most being CEs) and in fact is the one who bought me some of them to get my interested in what they create many years ago only took a day herself to get over her disappointment. She disliked the ending as much as any of you and been long time follower of Bioware more so than myself and if notice my join date you can see I'm not some newbie to the franchise either. She is only 21 and she has more emotional maturity than half of you lot still whining and moaning.

She got over it in a day while you have been moaning for a month so no I do not think this anymore has anything to do with the endings for many of you, a power trip sums it up just right. Time to grow up or seek professional help, councelling and such.

so much anger in your words...its making me blush...but seriously it your opinion and i cant change that.
all people say is those who dont like the ending are b*tchy, whiny, entitled, immature, but then again if people really feel that why not just ignore them the b*tchy, whiny, entitled, immature people?
and to the part where you talk about your join date that doesnt mean anything my join date is march of this year but ive played all 3 me games.
and no they offered no half solution the ending in the eyes of many was flawed and them clarifying it wont make any less flawed.

Seriously... Councelling, much cheaper and many of you need it more. Like I said time to grow up, look at the reactions of fellow retakers who are stepping away from this, the negative feedback your getting on here, the negative press and even more media and gamers calling you whiners or entitled all because of your actions like this. Taking it too far over 10 minutes of a video game that many of you played a month ago and still haven't had the emotional maturity to deal with your hurt feelings. The phrase "this hurts you" is tip of the iceberg, drop in the ocean compared to how much it does and will do vastly more damage towards your reputation both in the media and from the rest of the gaming public.

Telling someone to get a life on a game message board strikes me as a little hypocritical.

I was going to vote on the poll, but it did not have an option for those against the billboard idea.

Not really, because it comes down to having a life. Someone could spend an hour while someone could spend 24 hrs. Someone could use their time on the forum to do petitions and fight corporate companies others use it for mild hearted fun on a break.

See, someone like you uses it, to whine about a video game ending wasting your time, money, and life.

Someone like me, comes here to glace over some topics and reply to people like you who need clarification

You don't actually know anything about me, or what I do with my time. Its ok, how could you?

I am against the billboard idea, that was implied in my comment you quoted.
I'm just giving my opinion, not mocking them.

This pretty much sums up how I feel about all this craziness. Thanks for the great analogy.

The sad thing about this is that the people who really just wanted a better ending will be tarred with the same brush once the gaming press gets a hold of this.

A) If you have nothing constructive to post, please don't post. You aren't adding anything to the board or the thread.

B) That being said, anyone who you'd hope to make aware of your concerns via this method is aware of your concerns. At the end of the day, though, it's your money, and you can certainly spend it however you'd like. But if you're trying to spread your message this is not going to do much more than waste 5$ from 1800 people. Again, though - it's your money.

No witty picture this time?

uhh wait for the Extended cut.

Once the Extended Cut comes out, all of this will be over.  Bioware is not going to release a 2nd dlc in response to fans who still don't feel satisfied by the first.

Exactly.  The problem specificially is that the extended cut DLC specfically states it will not change the ending (e.g. it will not change any of the choices Shepard is given).  And 'that', was the problem everyone I've talked to personally had with the ending.

The do over only happens once.   And it looks to already be en route to disappoint.

If the billboard goes up(and I'm not saying I agree), it will definitely make the news, the problem is, as I've said before, Retake are walking a tightrope as far as the press are concerned, their press release will be biased to whichever gets the best rating, I know we all like to think the press are neutral and unbiased, but in the real world that's definitely not the way it works.

If you chose Edmonton I will find a way to get someone of worth from Bioware to take a picture in front of it.

A little silly?

People are willing to go to this length rather than give BioWare the benefit if the doubt?

People thought the FTC complaint, the single complaint, was bad enough, both inside and outside the movement . This is just acting out of hurt to see them burn, and I truly hope this backfires on what could loosely be called the "fans" supporting this.

Again, I would urge people to start distancing themselves from this. If you made a donation to Child's Play, as I did...will you be as equally proud to say you're supporting this?

Personally, I could not.

I agree with your first point.

I do not agree with your second.

After all the Day 1 DLC, the incomplete endings, and the PR tactics, I do not see why I should have faith in Bioware.
