 People love surveys. I love surveys. Here is a survey:

Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer classes - survey 

This is just a basic 'best/worst class' survey. 8 questions.

Multiple answer questions
1. Best classes overall 
2. Best against Geth
3. Best against Cerberus
4. Best against Reapers
5. Mid-tier classes (ok overall, but not optimal)
6. Worst classes

Single answer questions
7. favourite class
8. absolute least favourite class

I've tried to make this as painless as posible for everyone, so:

• NO IP tracking
• you don't have to answer every question if you don't want to
• It shouldn't take very long to complete anyway

I'm assuming people will respond based on Gold/ Silver difficulty, not bronze, as everything is good on bronze. For the multiple answer questions, 1-5 choices would seem appropriate, but that's just my recommendation.

Will update with charts and stuff as soon as I get enough responses to make it worthwhile. please let me know if you have any issues with the quizz or anything, and I'll fix it. maybe later I'll add another survey for weapons/ maps, if I can be bothered. cheers.



Hypothesis: Asari adept, Salarians will come out as clear winners. No one will like soldiers much.

no thanks not doing third party survey and sorry but all survey have to ip track to make sure you dont fill it out twice to skew the survey

you don't have to, thats cool. 

But yeah, I did disable IP tracking - techically people could do it multiple times. skewed data doesn't bother me so much as people just not doing it. And if you can be bothered to fill it out a fairly boring survey multiple times, all the best for you - you weird, strange person.

Damn. Are we taking the Reave glitch into consideration, because I thought the DA would be much higher. Both Salarians and the AA sound about right though.

This is EASILY the most interesting result so far - everything else went pretty much as expected:



So everyone agreed SI/SE/AA are the best, but everything at the mid-tier level is debated quite heavily. This should provide bioware some comfort, knowing that at least some people think evryclass is at least 'ok'

Or I may just need to redefine this question.

I absolutely suck at playing vangaurd, but I was running along as an adept with another adept and two vanguards who actually knew what they were doing, and they made short work of everything. Reapers, geth, cerberus.  Didn't matter.  Makes the screen shaky as hell but it really was fun to play.

Here's an interesting one.

Because people don't HAVE to pass comment on every class, this shows which classes the community has a stronger opinion on - as you can see, Asari Adept, Human Soldier, Salarian Infiltrator and Drell Adept have received the largest input. of the 57 or so respondents, most commented on these, whereas only 26 or 27 people had a strong enough opinion about the quarian infiltrator or Turian Soldier to comment.

You can also see that some classes are heavily skewed towards being considered very good or very bad, whereas others have an almost equal distribution of points for each 'tier'.

just interesting, at this stage. I have about 60 responses so far, keep it up.

For a time I would play Asari Vanguards heavily for the stasis before I unlocked Asari Adept; in that sense I didn't and still do not play the Asari Vanguard conventionally. Very fun to play with Vanguards who play the "right" way though and do it well.

There's a certain amount of joy to be had prepping headshots for snipers, helping out teammates stuck in a clusterf**k of enemies, and in a way "pacing" the game before it gets too hot and the team starts to panic - all primarily with Stasis.

@_Ret_ : Thanks for the short survey! It would be very cool to expand on the survey methodology to help you infer to deeper statistical claims, but that would entail a more complex survey. I gather the results from this are more preferential than qualitative at the moment.

This is fun to see though, and if you ever do another one I hope you have fun with that too.

P.S. Infographics would be icing on the cake!
