I was playing earlier today like I usually do, but this guy ended up
joining. His connection was awful. He was bringing down the whole game,
and eventually lagged out. We took a little
break and began playing(We had played for about two hours before that without any issue) later. My connection was completely unstable.
People were walking through walls, walking into the sky, and then
warping back and resuming for another few seconds before doing the same.

Literally
nothing has changed with my connection and I have no idea what's
happening. I can't seem to play with more than one other player anymore,
or else the game becomes unstable.

I don't know what's
happening. My PS3 is wired through a router like it has been, and I have
not changed anything that could effect it. I did a speed test and a
ping test and my details were the same as they usually were, yet even after running all of those tests and power-cycling my PS3, router, and modem, the problem still persists.

It's bumming me out because the new DLC is out tomorrow and I can't wait, but the game has become unplayable for some reason and I have no idea what the reason is.

I'm honestly not sure if the patch is to blame or not, but it did happen once earlier before the patch came out. And at the moment I'm streaming Netflix with no issues to confirm that my internet isn't acting all whacky.

Halp. Please halp. :(

you could try deleting your mass effect 3 game data (not your saved data) and reinstalling the patches/DLC to see if that helps?

i really don't know, man.

I will try that first chance I get. But man, it's weird. One minute we were just playing along, fine. The next it was this garbled mess of lag.

As I said above, I did a ping test and I wasn't losing any packets, my download was good, my upload was solid. It was just going bad, and it was going bad fast.

how long had you been playing before it happened?

It's EA's number of ps3 servers, and Biowares inability to compensate for EA's number of ps3 servers.

Aside from that one game with the player with a laggy connection, we had played about two hours worth. We were trying to get as many points as possible for the DLC character packs tomorrow, but it seemed like once that guy joined and we quit playing for a couple of hours, everything went bonkers.

This happened to me last night too. All of a sudden every game I was getting a DC and then people started walking into the sky and whilst I could still act normally I heard my character say 'bleeding out' (this against Geth on silver...)

Not a happy experience.

Sorry for bumping the thread, but I feel the need to update that the issue has seemed to work itself out. Everything is running very smooth again. It was just a one day thing, I guess. :)
