Should Bioware ban people for abusing a glitch?
- No, it's an error on Biowares part, if they don't want people farming credits this way, they can just patch the game.

Pretty much agree. Personally. I don't see the problem here since it really DOES NOT affect me. I know most people have said that, but if they are uncomfortable with it, it clearly is affecting them. I frankly don't care if someone exploits this. It's a game, get over it.

Besides better equipment doesnt mean a better player, and that is evident in their gameplay. Besides, if a noob has a Lvl 10 Black Widow, props to them.

However, the use of this just goes down to a question on the morals of the person.  Like JasonSic said glitches shouldn't be punished. Hacking into their servers to change things, that should be punished. Besides, that's illegal...I believe anyways.

That seems to be the problem here, people don't like other people being better than them or having better things, it's practically a human characteristic nowadays, so it boils down to jealousy and since the glitch is there and known it's an outlet for that.

I'm sick of people complaining to be honest, it's not like you're ever going to fight those people, they'll be on your team and help you win, personally I'm fine with that, means I just win even more gold matches legit. But also I'm on PS3 and it doesn't seem to have the hackers/farmers/ and general jackass problems PC and Xbox seem to be having so I guess we've been lucky. That being said, I haven't been on in days so maybe that's changed.

Because I actually work for it 6 hours a day, every day, and I don't want some glitching **** to have better equipment than me, playing less than 1/10th the amount I do.

That's why.

What an entitled whiner this one is !

no the whiners are the ones defending the glitching

The sell packs for real $$ so cheating is an issue more than if they never sold packs

but if you glitch over and over i hope ya get banned/reset. I mean people getting millions of credits not 100k to see what the deal is

if you abuse it you need to get just that...abused by bw

I just hope they take away everything that the credit-glitchers earned.

Lotta' people wanted a Trading System, and if Bioware actually chose to enact one- as unlikely as it may sound- man, this would all kinds of screw up the economy.

I remember getting into the a lobby, trying to play it on gold. Three guys in there were already talking, and asked if I had a mic, which I did. They immediately told me that "there's this thing called the credit glitch and they want to do". I told them I'm not interested in any of that, to which one of the guys goes "then get out". I pretty much backed out as the other guys go "yeah, because we've made soooooo much credits", but I didn't wait till he finish. Should have taken a pic of their tags and send it to the mods.

I dont get it why everybody gets the same amount of credits in this game, you should get credits for being a decent player, not for just completing an objective!
I know that it isn t exactly the same thing but for example, i played a lot of halo reach , and every time a game of team slayer finished by time out , i got many more credits than having perfections or winning by 50 to 15 !
me3 mp isn t competitive it is cooperative, if someone wants to show off with his n7 rating or weapons let him be that type of person, if you take that to serious by becoming angry on them you are even worse!

Honestly who cares? It doesn't affect you at all, so stop complaining about and let people who want to try to work around the horrible lottery system do it, kudos to them, they still have to beat round 10 on gold to get it so it's not like they're doing nothing.

No, they're just doing considerably less. And they're still wrong for doing it, no matter how you try to justify it.

They. Are. Wrong.

My question is.... Why are some people hurt so much by this that they feel those who used it should be reset, banned, zeroed, etc? I must have missed the part where it's a direct kick in the balls to them. I don't even use the glitch, and I think it's stupid because id does take the fun from the game. But, with they being said.... What's wrong with you people?!

On a side note, but somewhat related... Have any of you seen what this devil if a CEO at EA believes gaming should use to milk money from fans???... Now THAT'S a credit glitch. :)

Why is it such a huge deal to you?
More importantly- why didn't you quote and reply to the whole post?
Even more importantly- why did you choose to reply to THAT post, and not the one I made that actually quoted you?

Fact is, they should NOT have done what they did. They are all liars, now. Having everything taken away is a fitting punishment.

1. It's not.
2. The rest of the post is irrelevant.
3. THAT post simply shows how much you want these credit-glitchers to be punished.

Also, It seems hypocritical for you to ask "why didn't you quote and reply to the whole post?" when you didn't quote and reply to my whole post.

I answered your questions, you still haven't answered mine:

Why does this upset you? It shouldn't affect you. You are the one that stands out on this topic, you've been at it for the past two weeks. Is it jealousy? Do all the glitchers have the items from the store that you always wanted but don't have?

I dont blame them tbh!

The only people that are losing out are greedy EA with there stupid micro bullcrap. I dont glitch but I dont care if people do this particular glitch because the whole store system sucks.

I just farm FBW for my creds and I still havent got the character I want.

Your not losing out are you? EA are and lets face it there only in it for the money not the fans.

1. Then why are you here?
2. No it's not- it was one of the reasons why they should take away the credit glitchers' ill-gotten items.
3. And? What's wrong with me wanting them to get punished?

Just because something doesn't affect me personally doesn't mean I can't be a person who wants to see people who deserve to be punished actually get punished. It's not jealousy- I can generally do better in a game with my Valiant I than any exploiter does with their ill-gotten BW X. But the fact of the matter is that they DESERVE to be punished because they did something WRONG.

Stop focusing on the PEOPLE arguing- saying things like "why do you care, it doesn't affect you, you're just jealous"- try actually focusing on what the people are SAYING. The people who exploit the glitch have broken the Terms of Service, which we ALL agreed to.If they didn't want to be banned, or have their items taken away, or be punished at all, then they just plain shouldn't have done it.

It's not rocket science. It's not a matter of gray morals or what affects who. It's really THAT simple.

Someone invited me to do this glitch the other day. I declined but I honestly don't care if others do this or not. I'm not saying it's right, but it has no impact on what I do or how I play.

1. Because you reply to my posts.
3. Nothing, I just want to know why you care so much.

"BECAUSE TERMS OF SERVICE" Yeah we know, you said that hundreds of times already.

You said it's not jealousy, so why has this been an issue for you for the past two weeks?

No, I mean why are you here to begin with? Why did you even make a post at all? After all, according to you and everybody else posting here- if you don't care, you have no reason to speak up, right?

Short answer: It's a forum. We come here to discuss / give our opinions on things. Same reason I'm here, same reason you're here. Well, unless you're actually one of the glitchers and are trying to defend your own, obviously-in-the-wrong behavior.

I'll stop repeating myself when people stop talking about it / defending the people abusing it.

My first post was saying that Bioware shouldn't ban people for using glitches the game. But, if a person was to hack/mod the game, they should be banned.

I asked you why the credit-glitchers have such a great effect on you.
You're answer:

It's a forum. We come here to discuss / give our opinions on things.

Still doesn't answer my question. I get the feeling you will never answer me. So as long as you stop asking me questions, I will disappear from this thread forever.

Except I did answer you. I said it didn't have to affect me. Seriously, I have no idea why that's so hard for you to understand.

But I get the feeling you will never acknowledge that I am actually answering you, blah blah blah.

Yeah, just play the game.

As in- play it like it was actually meant to be played, without exploiting it.

My point exactly.

But why would you want to force people to play the way you prefer instead of letting them be ?

Thus, effectively going back to JasonSic's question : How does this affect you ? Because it does affect you in a certain way for you to want to ban/reset their accounts :P

DISCLAIMER : I haven't tried the credit glitch

The real problem is not knowing the potential for banning

If there are bans guaranteed then people can make the choice to glitch or not with good knowledge about the potential consequences for their actions. This system would also prevent people from exploiting the glitch because of their certainty.

If there are to be no bans then people can easily choose to glitch based on how fast they wish to complete the game or what they think will be the most fun. Most of the people who want to glitch and speed up their gameplay will be able to without any fear. Those who are totally against other glitching and ruining their personal game experience have to face the fact that not everyone wants to farm endlessly.

But we are in a system were we aren't sure about bans so we aren't totally certain of what we should do.

To highlight peoples motivations and thoughts of the credit glitch is the following. Most people I've encountered glitching do not even consider banning to be a threat. Some of my friends credit glitch, some have gotten banned, many have chosen not to use the glitch after telling them about potential bans, and some don't care about getting banned because they have other games to play.

And this is why I have to repeat myself.

*AHEM*

It doesn't have to affect me for me to think it's wrong.

They agreed to the Terms of Service. The Terms of Service that we all agreed to. They then broke their contract with EA/Bioware. As such, they- very simply- deserve to be banned or punished in some way. I'm not saying they will. I'm not saying I'm jealous. Or mad. I'm saying EA /Bioware is fully within their rights to ban or punish those people, because they did something WRONG. They are effectively liars and, whether you want to believe it or not, cheaters.

They will have no right to complain if action is taken against them. At all. They have no right to say that they don't deserve to be punished. They do. It's as simple as that.
