For those of you who did not like the ME3 ending. Do you even understand it? The ending is INSANE.

So you're asking us if we understood an ending that lacked sanity?

in·sane/inˈsān/Adjective:In a state of mind that prevents normal perception, behavior, or social interaction; seriously mentally ill.(of an action or quality)
Characterized or caused by madness.

You say tomato I say tomato. Figure that one out.

I say INSANE, others say badass, some say great, etc. Wake up people.

We more then likely understand it better then you and what it does to the lore of ME.

But thanks for Flame Baiting. To bad your 4 weeks late on this topic.:pinched:

Better luck next time?

The scene with the Illusive man and Anderson + the dialogue with the kid are what make the ending so damn good.
I agree about the former, not about the latter.
The choices may have been limited to 3, but it's not like it needed any more. Besides, you would be ****ing if there was only 1 or 9000 anyway.
It's not that there are only three choices, but more about the nature of those choices, and how none of the various decisions you make before the finale have any affect on the outcome.

@OP: Since you're obviously a complete newcomer to the ending discussion, may I direct you to this very informational video? It will give you insight over why people actually do not like the ending. It's 39 minutes long, but if you seriously want to participate in this whole discussion and you really love the series you gotta be able to spare the time.

another definition of insanity is "doing something over and over again expecting a different result". This is why the ending killed ME3 re-playability. We were told we would get "wildly different endings based on choices" so replaying ME3 would not be insane....but instead we got color variations of the same A B and C ending so I guess those of us who re-play ME3 must be at least a little insane.

my insanity is starting a new game once the Harbinger beam hits my Shep while making up my own ending with my imagination. At least while being insane, I can enjoy my game play.;)

Some people are so focused on planning for their retirements they end up spending their whole lives planning for it and miss out on life.

The angry players are so damn focused on their perfect little view of their perfect little ending they miss the entire scenario with TIM/Anderson and the kid. And of course, don't get the 3 options.

Wake up? I'm wide awake, thank you. This is a forum, it's presented in a written form, therefore words matter, therefore dictionary.

yep, we are too stupid to "get it". thanks for pointing that out:pinched:....or maybe what we don't get is why EAware threw out the whole trilogy in the last couple of minutes and violated their own promises?...or don't you get that?

Recommendation to OP seconded!

The best explanation as to the reasons the ending was just ill conceived and badly written.

In order to take what you seriously I'm gonna have to ask for a link that states "wildly different endings based on choices ". I want to see those words coming from Bioware but I can't find the article. Help me out?

Too bad he was so harsh towards the indoctrination theory, he could have said he didn't agree with it, but his words were kind of insulting.

The one stating the ending of ME3 is insane? Indeed it is. It makes no sense.

Next time you want to create a forum thread, I suggest you use more than one sentence, and actually explain why you thought the ending was "insane", and how YOU understood it. It would actually make a more interesting topic of discussion, rather than another "you guys are all dumb lol you don't get it but i get it" thread..

Bioware employees themselves have said there are multiple ways to interpret the endings, and to use our power of speculation.

WHere to start:
- Lack of coherance
- pissing on the central design of the series
- pissing on the central theme of the series
- pissing on the central tone of the series
- crashing the central message of the series
- profoundly failing to give any indication of how things turned out
- introducing the worst character in gaming history (starbaby)
- outright destroying everything you spent 3 games saving
- leaving a univrse with no hope of survival or prosperity in th near future
- breaking every single promise Bioware made leading up to the ending
- No options which allow you to choose a decent ending
- No Shepard protesting the catalyst
- the stargazer talking to boy scene which basically told us "you sillly children"
- topping it all off with the "buy more Ovaltine" advertisement!

And that's just off the top of my head.

Pretty much this :) Except I crossed over two reasons that apparently Bioware has said isn't necessarily so ;)

OK found a couple...how about for starters off the ME3 website itself...

Interactive Storytelling
Experience the beginning, middle, and end of an emotional story unlike any other, where the decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome.

http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/story/
"....decisions you make completely shape your experience and outcome." Uhhh, how does the color coded ending we got where NONE of our choices matter fit that description?

the angry joe youtube about the 10 reasons we have a problem with the ending has a lot of the quotes in it here.

EDIT...in response you your "I didn't call you stupid, don't put words in my mouth".....saying we don't get the ending is implying with context that we lack the intelligence to understand it. I just used "stupid" as short hand....or don't you get that either?

To me the ending is everything that happens on Earth all the way up to the final dialogue moments and the cinematic outcome.

That entire thing is INSANE. Geez, substitute it for your own version of "great" ya damn monkey. Oh and while you're at it do it to the ending of ME3 because clearly it is not presented to you properly.

No, I am SURPRISED how SO MANY PEOPLE hate the ending. I immediately made a new game the second it ended because I want to go through it all over again.

What *I* don't get is how many don't get the ending.
