i go in and out of different classes but the main one's i use are the :

Krogan sentinel with GPS, Mods:Blade attachment V and high cali barrel IV
Human(male) Engineer with locust, Mods:Scope V and Mag Upgrade V
and Human(male) Soldier with GPS, Mods:Spare thermal clip  V and high cali barrel IV

With these set ups i am a DON

Krogan Soldier:
6/6/0/6/6
Place GPS or Graal with barrel and extra ammo here. Run around spamming Carnage and shooting people in the face with the best shotguns ever.

Krogan Sentinel:
6/0/6/6/6
Falcon and armor piercing weapon of choice. Maximum melee damage. Use Falcon to set up easy melees and soften up big groups of enemies before you charge in. Have fun punting Phantoms across the map.

For fun:

N7 Hurricane with heat sink, extended mag and Armor Piercing ammo.

My new surprising favorite is an oft overlooked one:

Quarian Engineer, 6/6/3/5/6, N7 Valiant, almost always with Disruptor Ammo.

She eats through armor like nobody's business, with Incinerate fully upgraded with extra damage to armor and a flame turret, also upgraded for armor damage. Add in disruptor rounds and you've got an answer for shields, plus tech bursts galore. She's everyone's best answer to Brutes, Atlases and Pyros, with the occasional Prime and Banshee here and there. Plus, after using her more often, I've found that Phantoms become very distracted by turrets. It's awesome.

Her only issue, really, is barriers, and shields if I don't have disruptor rounds. But considering how quickly armor just flies off of enemies, I think it's a fair compromise.

I do best with Salarian Engineer.
6/6/6/6/0, I use the decoy exclusively to protect me (works pretty well on gold, as long as my teammates don't wander off incessantly). Maximized power damage means I strip shields fast.
I switch weapons depending on what damage mod I have the highest quantity of. My go-to weapons are:
Shotgun - Eviscerator
Assault Rifle - Mattock
Sniper Rifle - Raptor
SMG - Tempest
Pistol - Phalanx (will switch to Carnifex once it hits X)
All weapons are at level X.
