Is retake actually doing the billboard, or just some random people who belong to it?

It's supported by Hold The Line, which has merged with Retake.

I wonder if the people sponsoring this put the Tebow billboards up in Denver.

All this line holding is giving me a BOWEL MOVEMENT.

The "Hold the Line" movement is behind the billboard, not the "Retake" movement.

There is a link in the opening post saying that a Retake website merged with holdtheline, which means they are the same now. I've also learned that there multiple entities using the Retake name, but nobody knows which one wants what, so I'm distancing myself from everything Retake.

I read it in her voice. I couldn't help it.

Hell, I bet we could splice her dialogue from 2 and 3 to actually say it.

I guess they really want people to think they are whiney, entitled fans. If people didn't think so before, they would after something like this billboard..

I'm curious, did anyone in this thread donate to the cupcake drive?

By the time I tried to donate to cupcakes it was closed. I thought that was a pretty funny and harmless way a getting the point across. At that point there was no news of extended cut DLC either.

There is a better way to protest, and it actually involves saving your money.

I am not jumping ship.

I both support Hold The Line and Retake Mass Effect. Both are Fan generated actions to get attention.
Some might be happy with the extended cut, however I am not.

I wish to know not how they are expanding, but WHAT they are expanding on.

The billboard idea isn't a good one. And I have been advocating patience with the announcement of the EC DLC. But I guess some like the drama.

Let's just take a break until the EC comes out, then meet again and decide what to do from there.

Title pretty much says it all. Holdtheline and Retake have merged (see link below, third paragraph). This means Retake is on board with the billboard by default. Sorry, but dont want to be associated with this mess. Anyone else jumping the Retake ship?

You got wrong Intel. Here is the official announcement from the facebook page which has been the only true hub for us apart from the BSN. You can still fin it ther, so I'm just showing you the important part. Forbes got wrong Intel:

We cannot afford to be split apart. We must stand together in our struggle. None of us can do this alone, but together we have come far, and will go farther. Together we will Hold the Line!

That said here is the current list of official Retake sites:

www.facebook.com/DemandABetterEndingToMassEffect3

http://www.youtube.c...etakeMassEffect

https://twitter.com/#!/RetakeME3

Official email address: retakemasseffect@gmail.com

We WILL have an official website up soon. Our web development team is very excited about it.

The various non-English Retake Facebook pages that are "Liked" by the main Demand page/

Groups recognized by the Retake leadership, but are not officially part of it (as least yet):

http://retakemasseffect.tumblr.com/

The wonderful Retake member community at Deviant Art

There has been some confusion about the following two sites, and due to confusion, complaints, and other concerns I feel the need to make sure that it is known that they are NOT officially recognized by the leadership of the #RetakeMassEffect community.

www.holdtheline.com

www.retakemasseffect.org

You can find the whole thing here: http://www.facebook....369976353046413

Please don't leave, we are going to reform RetakeME3 into Retake Gaming after this, to further help the cause of gamers. The Billboard idea is NOT officially from RetakeME3!

can't they elect some sort of leader and vote on these sorts of things? It seems like one bad idea gets forced on everyone.

Frankly, the movement should never have been seen as an official organization. It was a collective group of people rallied behind a single cause. I'm worried that it's just become a vendetta now.

I love Mass Effect. I think it needed to end in a different way, and I'll remain a steadfast supporter of everyone who disliked the ending. I hope at the very least BioWare get the idea into their heads that they, in the minds of an awful lot of people, screwed up big time. They made a lot of people sad and angry.

But this whole fiasco is making me just as sad, and just as angry.

It feels like the movement is no longer holding the line, so much as aggressively demanding new territories.

I find the whole thing has been rather childish, quoting a game character (hold the line), signing off all posts with 'hold the line', coming up with 'fleets' to designate different regions (American fleet, European fleet etc.), you'd think what they actually wanted to do was to come up with an elaborate forum/browser based RPG. Now sending cupcakes and hiring billboards? I mean seriously?

I hate the endings too, they have definitely made me regret my day one purchase. While I appreciate what the hold the line people want to do, I respectfully disagree with how they're doing it.

It's just an idea people, and not a particularly good one. Don't support it by donating and it won't happen.

You're being just as silly and dramatic as they are.

While I totally appreciate the fact that there a 37 different Retake groups and the one linked to HoldtheLine isnt the facebook group, people wont know or care. All of Retake will get lumped into this connection to HoldTheLine. The Retake that was interviewed by Forbes is the one that is with holdtheline now.

I think "Retake Gaming" is an AWESOME idea! However, at this point I would find a new name. At a minimum, someone should contact Forbes and inform them that the real Retake on facebook isnt linked to holdtheline and this billboard idea. Distance yourselves as far as possible from this

You know, if I didn't know better, I'd say all of this was orchestrated by some evil PR genius. Seems to have more effectively split the fans than anything to date.
