BioWare also made the false promises and blatant lies about closure and endings prior to the release on ME3...I don't know what to believe from them anymore either.
QFT. I'll probably be here to look at people who "took it on faith" which by that time has too few voices left for anyone whether Bioware, media or such to be bothered with.

No QA no dedicated forum threads for devs in fact they may as well take social from the forum title and just call it what it is the forum of old with a paint job. this is the least maintained and used social network Ive seen. They do NOTHING with it. Having said that the only time they did with the bioware bazaar they made a bit of a mess of it at the last moment promised to make amends and then promptly forgot about it.....lol
Add a games portal here A version of the ios games/app could be run here so could other ea /partner games.
Have dev blogs and pages - just link right to twiter if that is what they want
Have dev / modder or fan interviews.
You could do a LOT with this place but it hasn't been touched since ME2 launched.
People complain about the community but lets be honest other than modding threads the managers haven't done much here, no insult to them as the forum isnt all their job but this place has been left to stagnate imho. Everything that do either links to or is done on facebook /twiter or some EXTERNAL site very little is done here.
So on topic again. I dont think billboards is a good idea but if it actually keep bio's attention then why not? It may be a bit daft imho but the dialogue so far has been very one sided.
anyway have a nice day all I have to get some work dont

Agreed that the dialogue with BioWare needs to stay active. There has to be a better way than this to gain attention.Demigod wrote...
I cant say I think billboards are a good idea but I would like some of the dialogue with bioware that people keep mentioning. The best we have so far are a couple statements / press releases and posts from DRAGON AGE devs. I think Mr Gamble did posted a couple of times during pax but that is hardly a dialogue any other posts manage to avoid the serious discussion threads.

I mean seriously. The movement has the entire ME3 team at Bioware PUSHING OFF all of their planned DLC projects and working to FIX the endings they initially were adamant on sticking with cause they were proud of it and felt it would not need to change.
So... we got the writers... in the writer's room, trying to 'clarifiy' and 'edit' the content... and we're putting up Billboards because Bioware didn't bend over for its fans enough... why?

Yep, I hope the organizers reconsider.
Will be a waste of money for all those who donated.

The movement has done some great things so far, whether or not you agree with it. For the most part the members have been calm and respectful, and have made progress by forcing Bioware to acknowledge the outcry.
So in conclusion, yes the billboard idea was going to far, but I still believe in what the movement stands for. I will Hold The Line.

Unfortuntely the large Facebook Retake group arent the ones behind this. It's people over at holdtheline.com/RetakeMassEffect.orgSomeguyukno wrote...
I agree that the billboard idea was a step in the wrong direction, but the retake movement still stands for something worth fighting for. While a good debate among our members can keep the leaders from promoting extremes, us fighting amongst ourselves gets us nowhere and benefits no one but EA and Bioware.

And, unfortunately, not even all of them are behind it either. People with no desire to go ahead with this are being associated with it.

I know, but at the same time this is affecting all retakers, and that's unfortunate. The problem with the movement is that anyone can go around shouting slander at Bioware and align themselves with Retake, and we all get the backlash and we all feel it.

The journey to summer will be very quick, and the clarification DLC will probably leave some wanting, but it will do its job and make fighting for change something that can't be sustained (yes, I know some of you think it is stupid enough as it is now, and back when it began). I think those involved in retake know evolution will come, and I am looking forward to plans of consumer advocacy that will seek to make sure reviews are being given fairly, and games are not being sold on empty hype (which is an industry trend, it doesn't necessarily hinge on the promises of bioware and the debate about whether or not they kept them)

From the discussions that I've read from holdtheline members on this forum, it isnt about is this a good idea or not, but where they should put the billboard. If this was a real discussion of whether or not its a good idea, the poll would include an option to vote against, but it doesnt.FabricatedWookie wrote...
they didn't shout slander, they proposed an idea. An idea that is in the process of being rejected, but they are being treated like they have already set up the billboard.
EDIT: And from what I've seen on Holdtheline.com, they dont have a vote against option either. It seems like a few people are making this decision. They did say that they will discuss it, but that fact that its a few people making this decision makes it very questionable

Yes, I would attribute that to human error. Which I am familiar with, as I attribute it to how the endings got all wonky.

I hope you are right. Maybe I won't be happy with the clarification DLC, but if it leaves me satisfied, I can walk away. That's what I feel, at least.

Human error only holds up until that error is pointed out to you. Just like the ending of ME3 is getting extended cut DLC after BioWare digested all of the feedback. Adding an option to a poll isnt nearly as complicated. When asking, "Where is the option for not liking the billboard idea" and getting the response "If we change the poll we'll lose 12 hours of votes" all I hear is, "Sorry, we arent changing the poll because we dont want to hear most people dont like the idea."FabricatedWookie wrote...

I think if you are happy you should walk away, but to me, I was very unimpressed with gaming punditry's initial reactions to fan complaints. Made me ask questions about them, questions I think are bigger than if ME3's ending gets fixed or not.Someguyukno wrote...
