why not? why does is it stop with the PC? i thought party members had no sexual orientation by default until suggested by player response during or a particular interactive dialogue?
They have whatever sexual orientation the writers decided them to have, independent from the Player Character.
Out of curiiosity, Is Fenris officially bi-sexual or something?
Yes. Or at least, he can become romantically interested in Hawke regardless of gender.

Aside from that, if you don't want a romance with any of them, don't choose the flirt options. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Other than regards Fenris, I'm not sure there is a real question there... "Why not?" what? And why does what "stop with the PC?"
At any rate, shouldn't you be asking David Gaider about Fenris? It's his character after all...

He's made similar threads before. This response from John Epler might clarify his question;
No, we're not going to let you decide the sexual orientation of your party members. The PC? Sure, knock yourself out - after all, it's -your- character, and whatever sexual orientation you want to make them is entirely your choice. Party members, though? Nope. Giving those who are uncomfortable with same-sex romances and relationships the tools to avoid them is not something we're going to do, as doing to suggests that there's something there for people to 'protect' themselves from, which we aren't going to validate.
I'm sorry that same-sex romance makes you uncomfortable, but welcome to the world. End of the day, regardless of someone's sexual orientation, we're all people, worth the same respect and dignity, and we're not going to help anyone draw that line in the sand. Full stop.

I applaude his coment, if anyone feel uncomfortable with characters being Bi then don't push-<3-buttom, problem solve.
Someone smarter than I once said:
"Anytime you feel something uncomfortable that you’d rather avoid, put a magnifying glass on it.
Once you know what you feel, you can now challenge both the cause and the effect.
You can ask yourself whether or not you’re overreacting to the event or worrying to find a sense of control. And then you can accept that there is an alternative—you can choose to interpret the situation a different way, soothe yourself, and then feel something different. No one else causes our feelings.
Negative feelings are only negative if they’re excessive and enduring. We won’t hurt ourselves into eternal misery if we let ourselves feel what we need to.
Still, we don’t have to feel bad nearly as often as we think.
If we choose to foster a sense of inner peace, challenge our perceptions and interpretations when our emotions could use some schooling, and learn to take responsibility for our joy, we can not onlyminimize pain—we can choose to be a source of pleasure, for ourselves and the people around us."

Alas... Once again the needs of straight women is overlooked:P
And sorry that it bothers you, but i like the fact the the romances can appeal to all sexual orientations. And hey you'd be lucky to land a glowing elf of eternal goodness.
Besides i promiss you, Fenris' gay tendensees is probable the only one of his qualities that is not going to hurt anyone.

You know.... it's funny..... I never see anyone complaining about Isabela checking you out and inviting you for entertainment when you are palying a female character.
I KNOW!! And she will do that NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR SAY.
