What do you all think?
EDIT: Maybe work with an existing scholarship fund and do a chip-in like we did for Childsplay. Perhaps it could go to a student of a visual arts college, or something like that.

So billboards are ok, but not college tuition? Really?
Fair enough about it not going to a member of BSN. Maybe a selected university or an exsisting college scholarship fund would be interested in working with us. We could do a chip-in like we did for Childsplay.iorveth1271 wrote...

Billboards are the most retarded idea ever. I don't see what the point of this is and I certainly know hundreds of better ways to donate my money for some change of ME3.
As for the college tuition... No, I don't like the idea to help one member of BSN and have the Bioware team review essays and whatnot at all tbh. That would be like... we're donating money to ourselves. I don't see a point in that.

I'm fine with waiting for the free DLC, but there are those that feel the need to keep fighting the good fight. This is why that terrible billboard idea was concocted. I was just trying to give those people an idea that wasnt giving the middle finger to BioWare/EA, and helped someone instead.Dridengx wrote...
Terrible idea, how about you do nothing and wait for the free DLC?

I am 100% in agreement with you. At this point all of the protesting, in all forms, needs to stop. But some people just wont stop. This has become their life. The people who are in charge of these different websites/facebook pages, etc, really feel like they are important. They NEED to keep going to fuel their egos.pikey1969 wrote...

As annoying as I find his usual sentiments/methods of arguement to be.
I can't possibly agree with most of his sentiments tonight.
All these 'charity' drives, 'photo-cakes', and 'Billboard' stuff are getting way out of hand.
Child's play was neat, instead of blowing up with pointless knee-jerk vitriol during the early days of the outrage, fans converted it into a charity.
And then it got closed, after raising 80k, which in a way gave the fans a perfect out.
Cupcakes were a cute way to go (the first batch anyway, good god do not send more cakes).
At this point, I can't help but feel like people are just pulling this crap out of their asses just for the sake of doing it... whether it's because it gives them kicks or they're not content with the fact that this movement is more or less coming to a close.
Retake has currently got Bioware pushing off all its DLC plans in favor of the 'ending' DLC, and looking at where they went wrong with what they did for the endings.
It also marked a point in the industry that developers, and more imporatntly their publishers, can't get away with putting out shoddy content only then to hide behind the 'artistic integrity' defence when there's an outrage.
There is absolutely nothing to fight for at this point. We are getting something, and we should wait and see. But people feel the need to keep pushing. If they're going to keep pushing regardless, might as well do some good in the process rather than put up some stupid billboards.pikey1969 wrote...

What 'fight' is there at this point really?
If they feel the need to 'keep fighting' really it's because they just want to. That's not a good reason.
