Sophia was an interesting NPC...honestly, the only one I really remember being cool. She could at least resume her roll of NPC by captaining a ship to another land or something. Have you seen how small Fereldan is on the map? Good lord we have a lot of content coming!

We have a winner, some sort of repentant/sane/changed darkspawn.... did horible things as a darkspwan, somehow got sane again, and now works with the Grey Wardens. Think Lawful Good, ultra goody goody, SUPER fugly monster rescuing kittens from trees and going superberzek against other darkspawn. Probably shouldn't be romancible though

Hmmm, perhaps a fade spirit in some form. And in a more active role then with Wynne.
Fade, dreams... Perhaps someone like Gannayev. I liked Witherfang too.

Chasind, or Ash warrior would be awesome. Though incredibly unlikely, I really like the somehow repentant intelligent darkspawn, that'd be pretty cool. plus you'd have to balance it out with all your other party members, townsfolk, etc.

what about a talking comedic enchanted sword
like off baldurs gate
insted of having an inventory it has 5 or 6 rune slots for enchantment, Its health is measured by lyrium and not health, so you got to drink lyrium potions to heal it.
Also it can have a skill tree to passive ugrades to defence since the sword has no armor.

Ser Cautheren wins my vote. I was really hoping she'd end up as a party member, but no such luck.

I highly doubt they would make a whole new character for DLC.
Maybe in an expansion, but even then it would likely only be available for the expansion content.
Anyway, I would want to see a female dwarf. IIRC I've ever seen a female dwarf as a party member.

A Dalish keeper apprentice would be nice, complete with all new mage specialisation.
And Leske
or Jarvia
I want the possibility of an all dwarf party!

Dwarven mage would be interesting.
Haven't read much up on the lore, but from what I've read so far, it seems that if there were a family of dwarves that lived away from lyrium long enough to evolve, it could happen.
Might be wrong though. There's always a freak mutation, I guess?
There is no record of there ever having been dwarven mages, though thre are lots of records of surface dwarves. The tie between lyrium and dwarven inability to perform magic is only supposition. It would be interesting to see if that cute little dwarf does any research into the matter, but I think it would be a pretty cheesy NPC.

10th party member would need to be a new class, no point in having another of the same thing.
