So, I've just gotten to the second floor, took out the demon and his four warden's (or was that eight...sometimes they show up again) and then I'm supposed to head on up the stairs to talk to Sophia so I can get to the tower. Well, all that worked fine on my first run through the Keep but now I'm using a new character and want to do things different. However, I can't get the blasted door to open. Sten slaughters a bunch of skeletons through the door though - neat trick that - but the door won't open and can't be picked. For the life of me, I can't find a key and can't recall how I got the door to open when I completed it on my first play through the game.Am I missing something or do I need to just start the whole quest over again (ie. the quest is broken now)? Any help would be welcome.
Need to get to Sophia but door won't open

I do not recall a single door in the dlc that needed to be picked. It sounds like your game got bugged. I am of course assuming your not going for the door blocked by the glowy spell, and instead entering the other room which has her office.

Yeah, it's the one directly after you arrive on the second floor for the first time and you defeat the demon there. The door is locked and cannot be picked. I've restarted a few times now to no avail. I may need to go to an even older save and try again.

If you're wondering, the problem seems to be that my main character leveled up during the fight when you first get to the second floor. If that happens, you won't be allowed to enter the Shrine and talk to Sophia at all. It's a bug in the game.Easy to work around once you know what's wrong but man, was that a pain figuring out.

That does seem like a pain. I hadn't recalled a locked door anywhere in the dlc either, except the door right after Sophia, that you can't acess till you talk to her.
Glad you figured it out and thanks for the heads up on why the error occured.
