Another day, another deploy!  Changes about.

-The long awaited "view BioWare Employee posts only" functionality has been implemented.   Click on the  BioWare logo at the topic listing and you will be shown that topic with ONLY BioWare employee posts.

-Recommended users list - now add friends based on our calculated recommendations

-Various fixes to the functionality of the wiki

-Various fixes to the newsfeed for speed and reliability.   Bugfix so only single items are deleted.

-Other miscellaneous bug fixes

-BioWare employees are now identified in their profile with a BioWare logo, as well as in group discussions.

As Jeff mentioned yesterday, we are continuing to focus on usability issues, performance, forum improvement and fixing bugs.

That's all good and well but what about the ability to search. Oh and I talk about a real search like everyone else has, where you can actually search the content of posts instead of only the title. How are people supposed to find support for their problems and modders supposed to find information on specific questions? My guess is, that this is the primary reason why people defect to other sites. Maybe this was already criticized by other people but how do I know, I can't search for it.

Improvements to the searching are in our development roadmap, but are non-trivial to implement and will take some time.

Ok, thank you for your answer despite me not being very polite. I am just a bit frustrated because I usually don't like to participate in forum chat but rather search for already existing knowledge in them. But it is a bit mind-boggling, that this core feature and some may even argue, the most important thing on this whole social site, wasn't ready from the start. I really do hope, that the people responsible for that feel a little bit ashamed especially since the old forum did provide us with that functionality.

I'm actually quite sure, that this forum here is able to provide this functionality but that you had to disable it because of the performance hit that such features usually impact. So I guess you have to completely rewrite this ability of a software you have bought or even worse, you are have to wait and pay for the software provider to remedy this situation. Either way, the usually very high standards that are expected of BioWare are clearly not met and I can't shake the feeling that this has to do with a certain holding company parenting you but that's another story and if true, you are simply between a rock and a hard place here because you are not the ones responsible.

Could this have broken the file uploads? Tried to upload some 7z files and then tried with zips but it said those file types aren't allowed. It also showed a list of types which are allowed, which included both of those. I've even uploaded zips before on the same project and I supposedly have plenty of space and file slots left...

What he said. I'm not happy and I don't understand why you had to downgrade the services provided in the old forums but I know you're working on it so I will just chew a hurlock or two instead of venting. Good luck with your work.

Thanks for removing the views column. So many zeros...
