I haven't dug into the tools yet, still modding another game.  But one thing I'm curious about is glass armor and weapons.  Is it possible to make these.  Not entirely glass but in a sense a heavy layer of glass encasing the weapon or armor.

I'd be more interested in this for decorative purposes. IE, a sword that has colored glass in its pommel.

If this is something I can do then I intend to expand it a bit but I mainly wanted to know if it could be done.

FYI there is at least one mod on the Nexus that uses a glass breast plate. (NSFW)
