My connection failing.

Beyond that, not much. I don't usually play Gold unless I have a team I know, and even when I try for a random match I find that 9 times out of 10, the people playing Gold know what they're up to.

And the teammates who I'm supposed to be carrying are not supposed to be learning to play? I think you've got it a bit upside down.

You know, all this giving lessons and saying "I expect you to..." as if you were an officer or something makes you sound like a huge douche. I don't expect you to see it my way, though.

LOL. I want to enjoy the game, and I can't do that so well if people who are, in my opinion, incompetent to join Gold, do so. Don't you want to enjoy your game too?

You do have your right to enjoy Gold, as do anyone that wants to play. Thing is, if you can't enjoy playing with pugs and losing, then why don't you play with friends who play like you like?

Plus, your opinion on who is "incompetent" is just that. It's not that I don't appreciate the tip, it's just the manner. It's a common attitude that keeps me from playing Gold. I don't have fun under pressure to fulfill someone else's high expectations. I don't think anyone does.

Funny how this contradicts what many other posts claim should be done on objectives (i.e. defending the person stuck clicking it).

Amazing how some people just have to have things done their own way or they get all upset.  Grow up.  Your aproach to the issue could have been one of helping new players, or presenting your preferred method but instead you come off like yet another crying child.

I expect to be able to play the class I want with the weapons I want. I don't give a damn about your super cool strat for this map against these enemies. (not directed at you, OP)

My pet peeve is players who think it's just fine for their asari adept to carry a javelin and revenant and expect other players to not see this as a problem.

That kind of thing drives me crazy too, but it's their game, they can play (and likely fail) as they see fit.

I could agree, but is it too much to ask you to host your own game if you're going to be rockin' a loadout like that?

(Not directed at you).

You mean so I can get some know it alls to join my room and kick me out? Lmao.

Not to be nitpicky, OP, but...

Only one person needs to go IF it's an Infiltrator with a long cloak. If the person going isn't an infiltrator, it's actually pretty much a requirement that the team stick together and protect the one activating/deactivating/whatever.

Agree, OP. Most pubs still don't realize the agro-system and when I suggest that only one goes for the objective while the rest grind most are silent and then everyone goes for the objective and I'm out my 3 rockets :(

Oh well. Them's the breaks on the pub matches.

My biggest annoyance has to be people who think a run'n'gun approach will work on gold.

Then host your own game with your own friends.

It's not just YOUR time or YOUR entertainment. There are 3 other people in the lobby. If you get vote kicked, deal with it. That's how democracy works.

I'm not *required* to play with you.

The people who don't know what they're doing on Gold would enjoy Silver more - I know it sounds a bit arrogant to say so, but I think it's true.

I don't have IRL friends who play Mass Effect 3. And how else are you supposed to find people to play with, except by playing publics then adding on Origin, or by asking around here (or by using IRC)?

Then you will probably like Silver better until you learn to play well enough to not feel 'pressured' on Gold.

In bronze even the worst team mate makes for a decent diversionary tactic

See? Now you are doing that thing when you are speaking like a huche douche again. I don't feel pressure because of the game, I once entered a Gold match with Krogan Soldier by mistake and it took me 4 waves to realize it wasn't silver.

What puts pressure on me is people kicking me for not being the class they want, people kicking me for not having the weapons they like etc. Oh, and people acting like obnoxious CoD kids who think they play much better than they actually do.

Put simply: I dislike Gold players.

Pet peeve in gold. People booting me cuz I don't play their way.

Eh I get kicked for worse reasons than that and I've only been playing Gold for two days.

3 Engineers on the team, Geth, Firebase white? I guess it's as good a chance to try my Infiltrator (lv 20 Quarian I would note as someone was helpful to point out that Quarians can hack the geth to help) since someone will need to get the objectives and revive right? Get kicked.

Why? Widow wasn't level 10 I didn't know if I should have been annoyed or laughed.

But yeah if I have an 'I expect you' I would say I expect you to get off their high horses about not having maxed weapons and or characters.

Multiple people twiddling the packet or whatever do make it go faster(so, more money).

It's kinda funny when the objective spawns on the other side of the board from the team, everyone runs over and you 1 person doing it and 3 people covering with not an enemy in sight.

I've actually had a wave 3 fail on bronze, and not just 4 N7 rank 1s, I'm talking two people with 200+ N7 ratings, silver or gold level weapons and a couple of people who were...I don't remember, but they were both over 1...I'd get behind cover only to find an enemy coming behind me...and I'm stuck between them, with light weapons and powers on cooldown or something.

It was just horrid luck, I mean, I've gone to wave 10 on GOLD (bottom rank, but I wasn't just sitting there leeching), completed a few silvers...and then I end up in that.

It's people who are so frustrated about a gold game ending badly, that they need to make a thread about it in the forums to vent their rage.
