Double transaction bug when buying points.

I am not expecting a fix here. I have thrown up my hands and decided to cut my losses, and am not playing ME3 anymore - and subsequently never spending another penny on anything EA touches. Just sharing my experience.

I bought points through the game/origin.. The $20 / 1600 points option. It gave a connection/communication error. I exited the store, and went back... Had 3200 points. It had, apparently, processed a double transaction. I did not spend 1600 of those points, as I did not purchase them. I received only ONE transaction email. I contacted EA... EA after hours of trying, failed to understand my issue, stonewalled me, refused to help, and kept giving me the line "all purchases are final". They even threatened me that if I disputed the charge with my credit card, they would permanently ban my account - which has hundreds of dollars of software. Amazing.

After much complaining... They escalated my case. That was just shy of 2 weeks ago. They are refusing to update me now. No call, no email, is getting any information. I have repeatedly asked to speak to a manager, and been given a myraid of excuses why they can't do this.

So my warning to you all is... Be warned using the in game purchaser if you have even the inkling of connection issues. You're better off doing the transaction through your browser. I've never had a problem adding points directly from the BioWare site. I've had nothing BUT problems in Origin.

BioWare - I still love you guys. If EA didn't own your souls, I'd still buy your stuff. But as it stands, I have to let you go. EA is the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with (and in my line of work, that is really saying something). I refuse to deal with them again, and given the fact that I am being forced to, to support you... And that my account is likely to be banned because I absolutely disputed the theft of my money... Good luck BioWare. I hope EA gets these bugs ironed out. I don't want to see EA shut you down because you become a liability to them (they've done this to other companies they have bought).
