I think this would be a great idea, and possibly also an opportunity to make players decisions count.

For example, if you didn't cure the Genophage, maybe some of the other on-the-ground assets would be wiped out by the Reapers. This could be shown in a cinematic whilst if you did cure the Genophage an alternative cinematic could show the Krogans joining in and saving them.
Or if you saved the Geth they could end up saving the Quarians in the space battle, if you didn't the Quarian fleet couyld be wiped out.

I'm sure there would be a few ways that different decisions could be reflected in the cinematics in such a way as to give your decisions more impact on the game ending.

Why would we want this I love seeing the handful of human soldiers run and take cover. LOL

Yeah this should definitely be added kind of sad that they didn't do this in the first place

Have scenes with Quarians and Geth working together, Krogan and Rachni taking on Ravagers, Jack and her students, Wrex and Garrus fighting together, Grunt taking on a Beserker, & James and his squad. Vary it depending on who you have.

So much of the complaints of the ending and this game was the lack of fullfillment, closure and impact of choice.

I'll keep repeating and bumping this, but BioWare please realize each of us crafted our assets in oru own way, and a game that toots its horn on choice... this would be a great step in showing the results of our choice, without having to effect the ending in anyway.

All this is is additional cinematic content toward the end mission, you can clarify the ending as you see fit, but as another poster said this maks it more digestible.

I expected something like this and was disappointed by its lack. It does seem like the sort of thing it wouldn't be too hard to slot in to the Battle for Earth.

Yes please to this. Half the game is fetching assets and hot damn I want to see a krogan on a dinosaur and elcor tanks.

I would really love to see solid sequences of the races working together on the battlefield. The diversity of the galaxy united. Just a nod to a major underlying theme of the entire series. Y'know.

- Kasumi infiltrating---something!

A line of cannibals/maruaders has an alliance squad pinned down with sustained fire. Suddenly, a small dark shape decloaks behind them and plants a bomb. As it starts to beep and the reaper forces realize their doom, the shadowy figure blows a kiss, smiles, and vanishes again. A few seconds later, an explosion rocks the street; when the alliance squad raise their heads, the Cannibals are nowhere to be seen. They resume advance, renewed hope evident in their rallying cries.

Yea this is important, but let's not forget we still don't have an ending where seeing your War Assets in action will even be worth watching.

"Hey, here are all the Turians you brought to Earth! Oh and now they get to starve..."

Sad face

Example: Kasumi helping out Grunt or Zaeed helping out Samara - combo's you wouldn't think to see.

As cool as this would be it's just not feasible. The ME2 squadmates have to be kept separate from each other, for one because they are elite operatives (i.e. just one of them added to a vanilla regiment could eleveate it to epic greatness) and for two because there are so many different combinations of who can survive in ME2 and who can't that any scene showing two or more of them would put a lot more strain on the cinematics budget.

If this is going to be done at all, it has to be as cost-effective as possible, especially since the DLC is going to be free (so it will earn no additional revenue to pay the cinematics team with.)

I am really interested to see if they remix the ending sequences(after you pick ABC). I think if they do that it could make the game a lot better. If everything is tagged on after what is currently there I think it is really limited.

Good point, I still think each ME2 squadmate should have their own cutscene, but I can do without them fighting side-by-side / combinations of them due to cost feasibility as you mentioned.

With regard to ME3 assets though, in addition to each major asset having an appearance (whether alone or along-side one-other) there should still be a visible impact of each just due to the fact this should be in ME3 in the first place.
