Also Bioware should really re-add most of the cut stuff back into the game.

While this would not fix the awful ending, it would be more satisfying than what we got. And go a long want to make our decisions make more of an impact.
It could fix the ending tho!! Just have Aria and the mercs bust in and blowup starkid before Shep chooses his color of suicide. Then with Shep they join all the other assets in showing Harby and his Reapers just how UNgodlike they are!!

Once again Id like to give my support to DangerousPuddy and this thread. Altho I find it hard to put into words how sick I felt when I realized that all the gathered assets would play almost no part in the end. With no true final showdown and so many species and special units ignored, I wholeheartedly feel that the assets should play a major role in the upcoming EC.
After all wasnt uniting the galaxy for the fight one of the core aspects of the series!?!?
100% agreement.
This is, like much stuff in this game quite baffling...
Unity and coming together as a galaxy was one of the key thematic undertones in the entire series and it was in no way demonstrated either via assets or the ending choices themselves. Moreover, from a practical/mechanical point of view, if they didn't touch on the themes (which is more important) I would have at least hoped they showed the culmination of the epic battle...and still they failed to deliver on that even, hence this thread.
Keep up the support guys, it may not be as radical as "change the ending" but I feel this is a deserved part of the game, which is not only practical to accomplish via the EC, but is owed to us as customers who paid $60 for a somewhat incomplete game.

I should have said at least $60!
Ladies and gents, this is do or die time - EC is closing in and they are working on it now, get your word in if you really want to see this.
Let's see more support. Support something more practical.

I support this, I just found out (yeah its old news) that there was dialogue that seems like it was cut from the final mission. It seems as if there originally was going to be war assets in action. Why would they cut this? Maybe same reason they shooped tali's face... integrity of the artistic kind.
I agree completely
Here's the links to the cut dialogue, adding them to the OP could make the point stronger:
Geth Prime (some of this isn't cut, and you can hear it if you betray the quarian people at Rannoch rather than finding peace... you incompetent boob/monster.)
Zaeed
Jacob

Grunt

Jack

They're all awesome, but Jack's has to be my favourite by far. The emotion in her voice is just amazing
"I am so damn proud of you guys."
That's the kind of emotion that Shepard should have been exhibiting after Tuchanka and Rannoch, depending on how things went down. The latter could even have romance-based modifers for ManShep.
...that is to say, happy happy Shepard. For me, anyway.
Thanks
Yeah, especially with how he was moping around after Thessia, I expected him to have a full-blown breakdown at some point and be pulled out of it by either his LI or one of the other companions, but alas he was back to being Nothing-Phases-Me Shepard.
I mean, he's only tasked with uniting the galaxy by ending major wars between species to fight a force that's been destroying advanced civilisations for billions of years.
No big deal, right?
But either way, these cut dialouges would go a long way in making the EC a resounding success

while we're at it, I think it would add a lot if we got some more cinematics of the space battle. we get the awesome start of it when you jump into the Sol system, but after that there's nothing.
like when the Crucible shows up, not a single Reaper attacks it? really? show us some quarian/geth, rachni, salarian ships defending it from assault. add some lines from Hackett to amp up the feeling of desperation and running out of time. this would help with the abrupt feel of the ending. as it is, I don't feel like theres much pressure once Shepard is inside the Citadel

Agreed with all of this. I find it hard to believe that the Reapers would just ignore the Crucible. It was almost laughable listening to Hackett's running commentary. I mean "the arms are opening! :O" in that awestruck voice just makes it seem like he's oblivious to the action happening around him, as if the Crucible wasn't in the middle of a giant space battle. In reality, it should have been far more desperate then that.
An idea just popped into my ahead. It always surprised me how much GMS that the Crucible generated - for example, mine reached about 650 and this was from mostly scanning planets. So how about that the amount of war assets put into the Crucible dictates how much damage it takes? It its too low it can get destroyed, and stuff like that. Thoughts?

Really good idea, but it stems back into "our decisions changing the story" which in actuality is too far gone to go back and rectify.
Besides, BioWare has been doing this since ME2. Mordin dead, oh well, another Salarian comes and can do the same thing regarding the genophage. Such minor changes on the story that boil down to a higher or lower number for EMS.
The biggest example of this is the Collector base, being different by 10 war assets - what a joke.
They were either over-budget, lazy, or uncreative enough to implement Rachni/Council/Base changes in the story. Which IMO was acceptable so long as they didn't blatantly market and lie to us UP TO RELEASE DAY about the impact these would have.

- Miranda should be shown with her fighter squadron in battle.
- Samara should be taking on a Banshee or two (I feel after her mission it might seem more appropriate).
- Grunt, I would love to see him taking on a Brute (which are largely Krogan). It would be great if he were hanging on its back attacking it while it violently tries to throw him off (maybe even start with him jumping from a Kakliosaur mount).
Also some of my own ideas.
- Our imported multiplayer characters should be seen in amongst the generic alliance soldiers. No need for anything fancy here, just fighting alongside them. I was half expecting seeing a quick cutscene in the finished game of us sending in troops into the maps that also show up in singleplayer, but nothing like that happened and mp is largely absent of story.
- Jack, I would like to see assisting/leading her students.
- Garrus, leading his troops (maybe the people he references when saying he was in charge of Turians efforts in preparing for the Reapers).
- Wrex and his Krogans.
- Zaeed in the thick of it being bad ass.
- Jacob on the ground with some Alliance troops (maybe Corsairs?). Despite how he says he feels about betraying the Alliance and looking out for his people I think he could probably be convinced to join the fighting. I don't think he'd sit it out. Either that or show him defending the Crucible somehow.
- Normandy evading and engaging Reapers in combat. Not to mention showing a logical way of how it can pick up various squad mates and then suddenly run away (and why).
Also I wouldn't expect for a 20+ cinematics, but more of a just one larger cinematic with a few scenes like a shot of the battle field on earth and you see some assets there (Zaeed, Wrex, other soldiers etc) and a shot of space showing other assets there (various fleets, Miranda's squadron, Crucible etc).
Also there are probably a handful of other ideal examples I'd like to see to show or war assets at work, but that's all I can think of right now.

I like some of the ideas in the OP, but I have some other takes on a couple which I think is more reflective of ME3 (or just versions I prefer lol). Though sadly I think none of this will come to fruition, but it's nice to think up ideas for the fun of it.
