I agree with the OP.

If the extended cut is to be just cutscenes, give us at least 30 minutes of pure epicness of everything in the ME series coming to a head. 30 minutes should be enough time to showcase all the war assets, decisions, past/present teammates, other characters, etc.

Greatest hope is the extended cut will give the ME series a proper ending based on the player's choice.

I don't think mere cutscenes would cut it for me (see what I did there?). I want to see my assets fighting alongside me and my team during gameplay, not just in some cutscene I cannot interact with. The war on Earth needs to feel like an actual war, with allied troops, trenches, air support, tanks, etc. I want to see, in gameplay, other Alliance soldiers fighting with Turians/Salarians/Krogan/etc. against a unit of Reaper troops and Shepard being able to assist, having the ability to call on air support to blast a group of Brutes/Banshees, maybe even pilot the Mako again to escort troop deployment. And I really REALLY want WWI-style trench warfare!!!

Is it too much to ask?:crying:

OdanUrr, You know what could have been great here?

Is instead of fighting hordes of enemies over and over in Priority: Earth...that your squadmates from ME2 as well as ME3, plus various assets were shown on the ground fighting.

For example: The mission should have had twists and turns that involved your past squadmates (and if they were dead, you have a chance of losing your current ME3 squadmates). When you are getting over-run at the thanix missle, let's say Grunt and Zaeed come charging over the hill to help you with a cut scene AS WELL as in-combat.

This could have been done in various ways leading up to this point in the mission with other assets...but, no. :(

I support this idea, lack of asset and cameo ending cutscenes is what killed it for me. I dont care about god child etc, thats just big story arc stuff, it was the character and asset story arcs from ME 1,2 and 3 that made this game, this is why I feel like I havnt had an ending yet lol

Here, here. In other words, we wanted to see our choices play out. Not that much to ask for really.

Agreed.

Many people are angry with the ending but I think for many it is also a scapegoat for the other minor and major problems with the game...the ending seems to be the "culmination" or representation of all that is wrong with this game.

First off sorry for the big reply tree .....That said I agree with both ideas. Id love some great scenes of the
massive global and space battle. Having some amazing gameplay aspects is also a must.

Imaagine scenes of the massive space battle mixed with shots of minor assets doing their part. Follow that with gameplay on Earth (on a better battlefield then alleys) involving major assets reinforcing and fighting alongside or even in the backgrounds. Seems alot more epic than the mad dash to the space elevator sprinkled with short generic cameos that we got.

Not too mention the definately heart-touching but somewhat out-of-place "communication" with ME2 squadmates before the battle. You don't really know what they are doing, all you're saying is goodbye?

Also, who is this dude that can hook you up to everyone so easily! LOL.

People say they liked that part, to me it felt like a cop-out...almost a foreshadowing of how minimial and rushed the ending, as well as the mission to come was.

That guy and that whole moment of half arsed goodbye comms really did stand out as rushed. Also im not sure but were we suppose to see an image of the person Shep was speaking to? If so I didnt get one altho the cam acted as tho there should be one.

Come to think of it, the guy with the holocomm set is just a magical plot device to help you get in touch with your friends. There would be no need for it if you were able to meet your friends on the field. That would be much more rewarding.

Signed, I want to see my war assets in action. I would love to see Geth Collosii and Primes orbitally dropped from Quarian vessels, Aria's merc army playing dirty pool, Turians providing fire cover for a rampaging Krogan horde, Asari commandos hunting down Reaper big bads covered by Salarian snipers from the STG.

Do it. DOOOOOOOOOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEEEET.

This is minimal stuff, I expect much more from the EC, but this is a must.

I am in support of this motion. I'd prefer to leave most of the details for the professionals of BioWare (like who shots who, or who helps who) but many of the requests in the OP are both sensible and logical.

Also: I would pay for a pre-rendered unmasked Tali smiling at us when the game ends for LI. Pretty please.

I would love to have the player's LI giving them emotional support in EC. Like shepard is badly hurt and their LI finds them in the rubble and holds shepard, making a long speech how much they love him and that gives him the strength to get to his feet. Something dramatic like that. Or maybe during harbinger's mind **** scenes have shep's LI be involved somehow, trying to break down shepard mentally or something. Speculatin

OP, I don't agree with half of these ideas.

But I still want a happy ending with my love interest. Can't see Bioware giving us a lot any way, considering the DLC is gonna be free, and it's just suposed to clarify the endings.

Just so long as they put Gianna Parasini in it somewhere as an optional last minute romance for Shepard they can do what they want as far as i'm concerned, they could have the teletubbies controlling the reapers for all i care.

Yeah, you're right. It's a hopeless endeavour. I doubt any of the idea's from this list will be implemented, but we have to try.

It's better to try in vain then to stay silent.

Ehh....I'm not sure if anyone cares but I'm back. Once again its tragic that support for this thread has died.

While I love the ideas from Dangerouspuddy and others , what makes this thread so epic is the entire concept of ACTUALLY HAVING WAR ASSETS INVOLVED IN THE EC

Why? Simple..As most of us know all the time and effort in gathering assets throughout the trilogy is ignored in ME3's finale. The mad rush thru Londons backstreets fails to follow thru with all the
