The OP topic is something I've been kicking around here for a short while now. While there are Sword "good" and "bad" files showing EMS results upon the war, there's only End01_HammerFail. That's where the EMS suddenly stops having any effect on the story -- the Hammer massacre. From there, all the cutscenes are the same, pre-rendered (see data files on PC) or real-time (play the game), until the inexplicable Star Child.
I want to see that EMS matters all through the ending. I want to see damage to the Crucible as it docks if there is low EMS. I want Shepard to die at Harbinger (real-time cutscene - very moddable and versatile, but not necessarily easily moddable) if the EMS is below a minimum requirement, ending the game. I want something to show why Harbinger missed a direct hit on Shepard and left the scene (again, real-time cutscene) when the EMS is high enough. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of battle-scarring on Harbinger at that (real-time) scene with an even higher EMS. I want EMS to affect the gameplay action encounters along the way to the transport beam.
I would also like rewards for even higher EMS (over 7000 is possible), such as being able to focus the Dark Energy on just the Reapers for the Destroy option (killing Shepard again at a certain level -- the beam concentration is more focused and more intense, but not focused enough and Shepard is too close -- and Shepard breathing at an even higher level -- the beam is so focused that it only partially affects Shepard at close proximity).
I want to see an option to tell Joker and Cortez to grab survivors and run or stay and fight after getting up from the Harbinger laser. There should be cutscenes showing how the Normandy is fairing before that point. With too low an EMS, they die if they stay. With high enough EMS and they stay and fight, Joker survives first adding more and more with higher EMS. Fleeing always maroons them with more survivors at a lower EMS score than staying and fighting. Given how the survivor scenes are real-time, this is something that is also wide open on possibilities.
