Not true, was told by an EA rep that it is indeed "free" content, so we'll see if that comes true. My guess is the ones in the specter pack may be to get the extra upgrades, appearances, etc.

EA rep is just confused. Characters and weapons are "Free" in that the DLC is free, and you can unlock them with in-game credits. You don't have to spend any real money to get them, but you still have to unlock them just like any other character.

It would be "happy purchasing" if I wouldn't be hit from time to time by that utterly funny "purchase failed to process" message that I get instead of a Spectre pack. 

If that happens, don't buy any more packs, simply back all the way out of the game. Then go back and enter multiplayer, you should automatically unlock a pack when you enter the store.

17 Spectre packs later and I came out with the Asari Justicar, Krogan Battlemaster, Geth Infiltrator and a Striker I.

Not going to be happy purchasing until I actually get the freaking characters. Spent 5 million credits, got geth engineer twice, bought 1k ms points, got 1 geth engineer and infiltrator.

Release the f*cking recruitment pack already

it should but doesnt, you just get purchase failed again, and again, and again....

Got a Krogan battlemaster on my third spectre pack!

Its a funny class you can be full shiedl by just charging,then you go on rage and start crushing enemies.

rightmouse mass effect 3 in origin (quit ME3 if running), click show game details, click the shop for addons button top right, click button to aquire the DLC for free in the window that pops up.

You dont get a thing by just checking for updates.

Bought 10 packs on Xbox360, got Batarian Sentinel, Asari Justicar, Harpoon Gun I, Geth SMG II, Striker II and arc pistol from VIII to X (lol at this one) plus some other characters already unlocked and a reset powers

dlc on steam only downloads when you purchase it though.. but in this case its a free dlc, it still needs to be "purchased" by going into the games dlc store and clicking the button

Just played a round on PC and somebody had a lvl 19 batarian soldier so I'm guessing it's out on PC on the US.
