Honestly. I there comes another release with so much ways of aquiring bonus in-game items BEFORE actual game and not IN actual game, I will spit stomack acid in little baby's faces....
p.s. i'm talking about all those boots, helms, rings, dog straps...
I hate bonus items

It's just fun, unless someone gives in to such marketing rush. In any event, the bonus items are never as strong as the most of the equipment you can get in the game. On the other hand, I remember the bonus merchants in BG 2, they had pretty good stuff. However, the gameplay does not stand or fall with a few items.

Lucky Stone [Ring] (Character Creator)
Embri's Many Pockets [Belt] (Journeys)
Amulet of the War Mage [Neck] (Journeys)
Helm of the Deep [Helm] (Journeys)
Final Reason [Staff] (Collector's)
Bergen's Honor [Helm] (Collector's Edition)
Grimoire of the Frozen Wastes [Consumable] (Collector's)
Formori Memory Band [Ring] (Pre-Order)
Feral Wold Charm [Neck] (Pre-Order Gamestop)
Band of Fire [Ring] (Pre-Order EA)
Dalish [Ring] (Pre-Order Direct2Drive)
Lion's Paw [Boots] (Pre-Order Amazon)
Guildmaster's [Belt] (Pre-Order GameCrazy)
BloodDragon [Armor] (Included DLC)
The Stone Prisoner [Companion] (Included DLC)
Warden's Keep [Quest/Base] (DLC)
That's 14 4 Rings, 2 Belts , 2 Necklaces, 2 Helms, Boots, a Staff, a Set of Armor, and a Stat Boosing Book.
-Though even most completists will miss out on 4 of the 5 retailer pre-order exclusives.
Still 10 magical items is a lot for say a city elf to be in posession of, about right for a noble though.
