[Romeo Longsword]

I was told that this weapon, Fang suppose to be one of the best dagger in the game.

However, this is my second run of the game playing as a city elf, and I still get Fang in a poor quality version.

Instead of Dragobone (sp) verson, I keep getting the veridium verson, I mean I am level 21, how do I get the good quality, such as Tier 7 verson instewad of Tier 4?

You aren't the first person to ask this question. Fang isn't a leveled item, as far as I know. If you completed the Alienage at lvl 5, it would still be veridium. (Yes, I know you cna't possibly get to the Alienage at lvl 5, I was just making a point.)

Can you upgrade it at a merchant?

Yeah when Cyrion told me he should have given it to me before I left I looked at my 148 gold Orzammar dagger and thought "yeah you should have".

Tried the merchant upgrade trick, it does not upgrade.



How does other players get it as tier 7 at the start?

Fang is veridium only, you can look it up in the toolset. No one has got it as lvl 7 without modding.

I am unsure if that was sarcasm or not.  As my point was that you CAN'T get Fang at Tier 7, and you definetly didn't get that point, I'll assume you weren't being sarcastic, so I'll be a bit more blunt.

You cannot get Fang at any other tier than veridium.  It will always be veridium when you recieve it.  Anyone that says otherwise is either lying, or very, very misinformed.  Or possibly using a mod.

Really? The Rose's Thorn is the best dagger in the game that I have found. I've come across 2 T6 daggers (Thorn of the Dead Gods, and Dead Thaig Shanker). Of course now there is "The Edge" if you registered before 11/30. So only 1 T6 dagger is actually part of the loot. Two of them are part of DLC, and the best dagger in the game is only obtained via purchase.

I would have liked to see a starmetal dagger personally. If there is enough material to make a 2h then when a longsword is made there should be enough for a dagger right?

'special' items are just hard to find for anything ther than swords, imo. Mauls and bows are the next easiest t find but good luck finding a unique morningstar.

Actually I found every dagger available that my human noble rogue was capable of getting. The only T7 "special" dagger open to every origin is The Rose's Thorn. Everything else is T6, and 3 of the daggers are from DLC. Dagger itemization without the DLC sucks.



Reason you aren't going to find a T7 unique 1h mace is because there isn't one that exists. Vanguard is the best in it's class, and it's T6.

Which DLC is the "Edge" from? I found it in my inventory on my 2nd playthrough and didn't even realize I looted it.

You didn't as long as you registered the game before nov. 30th it would have just appeared that day or the one after in your inventory its a promotion for registering

Thats wired about Fang only available in Tier 4.



I have read a few threads from searching the internet with given status that there are Tier 7 version of the Fang, and I did not get the impression that they were making it up.



Such as this:

+3 cunning

+5% melee critical chance

+6 attack

+10% critical/backstab damage

+1 nature damage

The second link states Fang as being tier 4 & UNCONFIRMED at tier 7.

GameBanshee lists Fang as a tier 4 item.



I think your bashing your head on a brickwall trying to get a tier 7 version but good luck just the same.

If people have a Tier 7 version it's because that made it Tier 7 using the toolset or they made it Tier7 using the Winter Forge Project which lets you alter a weapon or armors tier other useful things

all the items are in the toolset, you can look them up yourself. fang is very clearly veridium only

Yup, there has no screen shots on it or anything, though there are people from different backgrounds making up the same thing is unlikely, I wonder what started the trent.

The T7 Fang dagger does indeed exist; I've gotten it (and I play on the Xbox). I believe you only receive the dagger if you kill Vaughan and claim sole responsibility for his death in the City Elf Origin story, and then save the elven slaves in the Alienage in the end game.

Yeah, I thought it exsist indeed, now I know it may be only for the xbox, I have done thouse two things you have metnioned and still could not get the dagger at Tire 7 on PC.

Thanks for the confirmation nevertheless, I am not sure why they would create an item only for the xbox and not the PC, that's almost a waste of effot a little bit.

Not sure why or how you could potentially read any sarcasm in my message, I asked a simple quetion, I believed it did exsist, I kept asking, simple. But its strange on how you look at people under this sort of light though, I am not that sort really, sorry.

The links do prove that its not just somebody making it up from nothing, there is not just one or two people "mistaken" with the same information on the dagger.
