This doesn't sound like any other difficulty I've seen mentioned here, but maybe I missed it.

Mind you, this is more of an annoyance than a problem, but still. I discovered after getting DLC for DAO that when I'd try to resume/load a game I'd already started with DLC content in it, I would get a message telling me I wasn't logged in to be able to access anything in the long list of official DLC items. I get that message even though it says clearly that I'm logged in on the game main menu screen every time I start the game. I could start a whole new game, and I did, but then when I'd try to access that game on a completely new game startup, it would be the same problem. But then sometimes I actually was able to resume the game after a game restart.

Ultimately through repetition I noticed a consistent pattern: DLC-content laden games are only accessible every other game startup. This means if I quit the game, then start it back up, I get the "not logged in" bother. Then I quit again and restart- voila, accessible. This is how I've been able to play the game at all for the last month- and since it's only a bother rather than an obstacle, I haven't tried fixing it. Is there a fix?

If neither the many stickies nor the archives will answer, then the SOP is covered by Raen Imrahl's "Read First" guide.

At first blush it sounds like the ol' DLC Authorization issue, which Patch 1.05 fixes. Patch 1.05 is not installed automatically, so you'll need to apply it manually (see the stickies).

If that doesn't help, then, as Gorath Alpha suggests, we'll need to see your system specs as outlined in the "Read First" sticky. There are also links in that sticky, BTW, which may also have answers for you.

Please let us know if you find a solution or need further assistance.
