Even if they do not admit it, the people at Bioware understand what's at stake for them if they allow the ME3 catastrophe to continue. It's as if mega publishers never learn: They set deadlines indifferent to the interests of the developers/coders, allowing buggy titles to go gold and ship out.

I do not understand the impulse to have government get involved. Sure, it might scare their lawyers, who have a hand in controlling PR and the lack of responsiveness to customer issues, but ultimately it assigns resources to an issue above and beyond what is necessary to rectify the problem, without ever guaranteeing your own satisfaction at the end of the day.

I don't think you understand, that the problem is never going to get rectified an any sort of way unless some higher authority is involved (even then it may not, but it's our best shot). We haven't had a real reply from anyone. I payed money to these people to get a product that did not do what they said it would do. On top of that, the store to buy packs has ripped me off of credits- which equates to money (otherwise, you wouldn't be able to buy it with cash).
I payed money for this game, I'm not getting the promised product.
But the thing you don't recognize is that PR has almost nothing to do with it. EA was rated worst company in america. If PR was an issue for them, they wouldn't have responded with "we're going to continue doing what we've always done."

There really is nothing at stake for them if (as you say it) "the ME3 catastrophe" continues. It's pretty much all done anyway. They've got your money already. Oh, and just because you won't buy any more of their games doesn't hurt them at all. They'll continue to be, financially, just fine.
And the only satisfaction I need is a response in honesty as to why we aren't getting the content. The only problem with that, is that an honest response will probably land them in jail for something illegal, or will upset ps3 users because of blah. blah... blah...

Personally i would rather bioware just come out directly and give us an update on progress but that never happens. No one but tom comes around here bless his soul but even he barley speaks to us. I swear if they were to talk to us we could give them details point by point to find these bugs.

bioware isn't the problem. Its sony. Bioware support is actually helpful and they wish they can do more. They are also pretty prompt, at least when i contacted them. My problems have been with purchasing packs. And thats PSN. Sony offers virtually no support to us and developers. Honestly its not just this game either.
It is just this game. I've purchased credits for SSX through the game and have had no problems. As well as with other games. While I haven't even given ME3's multiplayer a chance, I can't even play the single player much less the multiplayer, for fear of ruining my PS3, I have heard of no other game that has had problems with not receiving in-game items that were paid for like ME3. This is NOT Sony's fault. It IS Bioware's fault. The plesentness you get from Bioware support is just to get you off the line and pass the blame to someone else. It's Bioware's faulty programing that is causing items to disappear or not appear at all. Sony did NOT program the game, Bioware did.
Regarding the OP, thank you for the link. I left an 1800 character complaint with the FTC regarding the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 and it's extremely sup-par performance and Bioware's lack of response as to when/if anything is being done to fix it. As well as how the sup-par performance of the game can actually harm and/or break a PS3. Maybe this thread will light a fire under Bioware's arse to fix the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3 or at the least give a response as to what is being done to resolve the numerous problems with the PS3 version of Mass Effect 3. Thank you again OP.

I have the exact same problems with the game as you do. I disagree with your speculation that this is the ONLY way to have the problem solved. You even admit to the fact that nothing might actually be done about it. My point was that even if legal action is brought about the government will likely come up with a settlement which does not include you and your lost money, but rather a 'solution' to line the pockets of lawyers and bureaucrats.
PR has EVERYTHING to do with it. Developers poke their heads in, try to calm people and address issues, but the executive and legal departments are the ones that have the final say and set policy for how much their employees can actually speak about regarding what is actually being done in a detailed or technical sense.
An honest response would go a long way. Integrity to their product and accountability for failure would also help. Government intervention doesn't guarantee any of that.
I place no blame on Sony for this situation. Bioware made the promise of feature parity, not Sony. They had plenty of time in advance to sort out these issues before release. Letting so many broken elements of the game through is a sign of deadlines dictating the product and low standards from the higher ups.
With the economic depression coming, EA will have to shape up or expect better companies to eat their lunch in a serious way.
By all means, keep a tab of your lost credits and money, and keep bringing it up. This is something they should actively fix, after they have fixed the bug which causes it, of course.
