If the council was killed in ME, what are the differences in ME3?

My first Shepard had saved the council but the second one didn't. Haven't gotten so far in the game yet but the new one feels quite a bit snarkier. Guessing that things may play out differently once the Citadel is under attack now.

Has anyone else played a Shepard both with and without the old Council for comparison? Are there any major changes?

Not really. Different councilors but the result stays the same.

Did you check the War Assets? If you saved the council, the Alliance fleets took greater losses (and probably have a lower War Asset score)

And the Destiny Ascension becomes a war asset if saved.

This. It warrants nout but a footnote, with no real impact on the game.

I also have a question. Does getting back the spectre status in ME2 changes anything in ME3?

So it all comes down to numbers hey? That's not what we wanted from "choices matters"!

if you consider all losses and all gains, it barely makes a difference whether you save the council or not. At least in terms of war assets.

Hmm.... might just be me then but they sound a bit snarkier to me at least =)

Guess I'll see what happens in the attack on the Citadel. Will miss the Destiny Ascension, it was such a cool ship.

Whether you saved the council or not will factor into the vs/udina scene.

That might be balanced by the score in the Turian fleet, which would have taken more losses if you let the Council die, plus the Destiny Ascension is destroyed. Rear Admiral Mikhailovich survives if you let the Council die.

I think overall, it's the same, I believe war assets are balanced, and the new Council is just as bad as the old one, except for one of the councilors that seems to like you more because you basically gave her the job.
