1.  WYNNE! - A MUST. I don't see a sensible story evolving regarding The conflict between TheCircle and The Chantry without her. She's tied to the story and future of The Circle. She's my comfort zone and takes care of me at camp.

2.Ohgren!!!!!! - The Best bud a man(child) could ever have!!!

3.Sigrun!!! -  Most Adorable, sexiest and  tough as nails female Dwarf Rogue in the history of the world!!!

4.Merrill! - No one's as sweet!!!!

5.Alistair!!! - Resident "former alter boy and ex-pre Vat. 2 Jesuit (hehehehe) " - scares off the bogies with holy indignation  and the best tank ever!!

6. Varric - There is no question that i want Bianca (Varric's crossbow) in my party during a fight. I like it when he gives nick names to my female companions. Just as funny as Ohgren ever was but better with coin. Great , No THE BEST, PR man to have around to deal with crooks and cut throat merchants.

7.  Finn - He's a nerd and my pal. A momma's boy just like me. He is a better character than Anders.

I wouldn't want them as companions in DA3, but here are my favourite characters anyway:

1. Alistair - What's not to love about him? I'm a sucker for a funny guy.

2. Oghren - Gotta love that drunken nug licker!

3. Shale - I just love her voice and how sarcastic she is

4. Anders (in DA:A) - I loved his Northern accent and all round silly nature (plus he's the same guy that does the voice of Cullen <3)

5. Varric - He's the equivalent to Hawke that Garrus is to Shepard. Bromance all the way. Plus he's charming as hell... Had he been a romance option, I would have totally gone there!

Dwarf men have a particular soft spot for surface women and are always if not usually enchanted by them. And the ladies usually find them adorable, comfortable to be around with and LOL funny. More so than around Men. Elvish Men...no contest...don't ever leave them alone with your women.

Cullen who???? Oh no ....not the twilight.

I never played Mass Effect. Not into the space fantasy genre. But i definately would still play them.  Apart from the Tolkien-ish or sword and sorcery fantasy i like the post apocalyptic fantasy genre like Mad Max, Book of Eli, Fallout series, The Road, etc.

LOL no not Cullen from Twilight! Cullen the Templar, he was the Templar in Dragon Age: Origins that had a crush on your Grey Warden if you played as a female mage, he appears trapped in the light cage in the Broken Circle quest and talks about being the only Templar to survive the ordeal. He's also in DA2 as the Knight Captain (The Knight Commander Meredith's right hand man) he hangs around outside the Gallows during the day, you do a couple of quests for him, he also sides with Hawke at the end of the game against Meredith... You've played Dragon Age 2 right?

Of all the companions they made (since we're not picking the ones we'd liiiike to have) my picks for return would be....

Varric, because he's Varric and needs no explanation. =D
Ohgren, because he has a way with words that I want to master. :)
I love a good funny man so Alistair would be my pick there.
And in no particular order... Isabela, Aveline, Zevran and Sigrun

If I could pick one non-companion from DAO to become a companion, I'd pick Knight-Captain Cullen  <3.

Companions I'd like to see return:
1. Oghren: I <3 Steve Blum and all of the characters he voiced over--though Oghren I think is by far my favorite and makes me laugh all the time regardless how many times I have played DAO.
2. Nathaniel
3. Shale
4. Sigrun

Pretty much almost anyone from DAO and Awakening except Velanna and maybe Morrigan (I didn't mind Morrigan as much as I did with Velanna; but I liked Velanna's spells better than Morrigan's); I'm indifferent to Loghain.  And DLC characters.

Varric--liked pretty much only him in DAO 2; I did like Anders a little.  Varric seemed to be the only one that didn't have a seriously extreme issue
with personality or other type of problems.

Perhaps Alistair, but please lay him off the cheese, as the original poster of this picture, Tuilinn pretty much implied with her comment /lmfao: Posted Image

Maybe Zevran, but only if it is NOT this Zevran and only if he doesn't cheat on your warden if your warden had romanced him <.<.   Posted Image

Anders--with his personality from Awakening and Greg Ellis as his voice actor  (but, obviously, reverting to his previous personality is never going to happen).

Something tells me that Sandal--even though he wasn't a companion in DAO, that he'll eventually have a significant role in a Dragon Age game from what has been revealed so far (ex: asking about Sandahl's background in camp; and listening to his comments in the Hawke estate when you talk to him).  It'd be cool if he was a companion in Dragon Age III---as the one, the only dwarf mage :P.

I also like Alistair, Zevran, Nathaniel, Sigrun, Fenris and Merrill

None, i want a all new characters squad. I don't trust returning characters since the Anders/Justice accident.

If one, then I'd like it to be Varric.

To Lolalei,

Ya i suppose he's cleaned up quite a bit since the broken circle quest. I wonder if he'll reappear in DA3. It should be interesting if he does.

I'm hoping he will come back as a companion/Love interest. It would be a wasted opportunity if they don't use him since his backstory is already set up and he has quite the fan base.

The topic subject said to pick which companions you'd like to have return, not non-companions. If we were picking anyone we chose, my list would be a little different. Starting with Cullen, then maybe Charade and Feynriel. :D

Wasted opportunity is an understatement. It would be a crying shame! :crying:
It's been said that the reason Cullen was added to DA2 was because the
devs do like the character. They were surprised to learn he became so
popular. Knowing how much he's wanted by fans and being fond of him
themselves makes it logical they'll try to put him in DA3. Not doing so
seems... most unwise... :P

LOL, I was attempting a more subtle approach, but what the hell... it would be a bloody travesty!

I wasn't aware that the devs had a soft spot for him too. I remember there being some sort of interview after DA:O where they said they wouldn't know what to do with a Cullen companion/romance and it would probably turn out kinda creepy... I guess creepy would certainly be a new direction for a companion! though I'd like to think he's grown up enough now that he wouldn't come across as a bit... odd. I'd like him to get tongue tied around the new protagonist though, just 'cause it's cute, giving him a sense of humour would be cool too I love the way Greg Ellis delivers funny one liners.

Epic gay love fest is epic! :D Sorry. I couldn't resist after reading your sig. ;) But your picks for return companions are awesome. I'd want to be a fly on the log for that scene! lol! The image of Zevran seducing Fenris is permanently branded into my brain.

I haven't heard Greg do too many one-liners but if his Pirates line was anything to go by, I can see his potential. :D I forget the interview but I do remember I was up late one night, reading all sorts of stuff on DA (I do this sometimes, as well as soak myself in dev diaries at every opportunity) and one of the writers said they liked Cullen and thought it was a nice tie-in to bring him back in DA2.

I remember the creepy comment too and I think that was in relation to DAO's epilogue, after they insinuated that Cullen went beserk. Or maybe they thought the Templar in the Tower romance was creepy? At any rate, I was pretty sure it applied to Cullen from DAO but since they partially retconned him - or as someone put it "never confirmed Cullen went crazy" - and have made a more balanced guy in DA2, I don't see how a Cullen romance would be creepy at all. :D But then, I tend to side with the Templars a lot. Friggin' mages keep turning up bad too much! Though I do spare the ones that surrender.

It's unfortunate, but true. :?

And Cullen is indeed quite the hot tamale. :D Sometimes, I think he resembles Greg and at others I think he looks like Paul Walker.

LOL you didn't see that link I posted in the Cullen thread of him rapping when he done the voice of Johnson in Shadows of the Damned then! He also had some funny little one liners when he done Anders voice in Dragon Age: Awakening.

The rap was surreal... But I love how he was mumbling the words at the end. I listened to the entirety of the Anders dialogue montage and had a good few giggles. "Oooh! it's an unstable, crumbling cavern; let's go play in it!" Then the Ser-Pounce-A-Lot stuff! OMG! I laughed so hard! It's weird hearing Cullen's VA do that! hahaha! :D I almost never used Anders so I guess I missed out. Thanks again. :)
