I want to have this Extended Edit in context, not just reload a save near the end and play for an hour to get there. I don't personally want it "cold" like that.
Sure, could risk disappointment again. But the priiiiiize...

The first eventuality is followed by me not buying any of the future ME3 DLCs, and viewing future products within the ME universe with skepticism, probably leaving off buying them till they are in the bargain bin, while in the unlikely event that the ending is truly fixed with just explanation and clarification, I'll be clammering for ME3 DLCs.
I see Bioware being at a pretty crucial juncture here - if they fail to produce the best writing they've ever done, they are bound to fail in the DLC. They've never yet done writing so masterful that it could solve the fundamental flaws with the ending and remove all the *space magic* and replace it with respectable science fiction material, without altering what is already there.
So if they want to succeed, they'll have to reach a whole new level of writing.
They sure have set themselves up with an unnecessarily difficult challenge, which makes me suspect (and I am wrong) that they aren't even going to attempt to address the fundamental inconsistencies, an genre violations that people have pointed out, but will ONLY address the "lack of closure", that really is the lesser of the problems with the ending.

Download it immediately since it's free and hope that something is salvaged from that fustercluck of an ending.
I'll do this immideately and play the game with dread to see if they dropped the ball (again) or not.

I think I'll delete it just so I can download it again, cause it's free and I hate EA with a passion.

If I like it then I will replay the game. Honestly though I think it is important for them to release a full size DLC(like take back Omega) at the same time so that there is something new to play.
Right now they are just producing a short (movie).

Wish they would have taken more time and charged money. A lack of resources seems to be most of the problem with the original release.
^This. If they pulled a Bethesda and made an expansion pack type deal, I'd have gladly sunk more money into it.

Pretty much this, then decide what to do after finishing it!

I've started playing other stuff. I only continue to play and biznitch about stuff I care about.
I almost don't care about ME, or any of Bioware's IP's anymore right now. I'm almost to the point that if they come out with pink elephants and purple zombies in their DLC I just wouldn't care
either way.
The only reason I'm still here at all is some lame arse hope that they come to their senses. And to help keep the sycophants from overthrowing common sense.

You know how to not have that problem? Don't spend development money on day one DLC.
