You're absolutely right... I also tried EA Live Chat - 5 times I was adviced only to reinstall - but it's wrong solution - reinstall nothing changed - I'm still receiving the same message "Unable to authorize the listed DLC". And the strange thing is that game connects EA servers, but whatever cannot check DLCs.

Ever since I downloaded the Extended Cut I got the same problem. "Unable to authorize bla bla".

Already tried all solutions in this thread.

For the record:

Which edition of the game do you own (standard, digital deluxe, etc)?
Standard Retail

Which OS are you using?
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit

Which DLC you have installed?
From Ashes
Resurgence
Rebellion
Extended Cut

Did you get Patch 1.01?

Did you get Patch 1.02?
yes

Damn DRM, I should've just pirated the game.

This is stupid. I got the same problem as you guys. Since im already logged at Origin, why the hell i need to lof on EA server? That crap is always offline for me. Im almost regreting supporting the thing. We suffer as the pirate version runs without this DRM crap

Same problem as above. Running Windows Vista. Have all the DLC's. Never been able to connect to EA server, but never bothered me as I only play single player. Then I bought the DLC (and downloaded the extended cut), and now cannot authenticate them.Have tried various above-mentioned suggestions (except formatting my pc!) but nothing has worked. Surely this is something that can be patched after 3 months!

Finally found a fix that worked for me.

Go to C > Windows > System32 > drivers > ETC, and find the file named ‘hosts’. Open it with notepad and delete all the lines with ea.com in it. Save and Play!

 I'm not sure if this has been mentioned. But I recently reinstalled Windows and popped into this issue until I disabled "Avast!" - so it might be worth disabling your anti-virus and/or firewall.

Finally found a fix that worked for me. :D

C:\\Program Files\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config\\OnlineProfile.profile ; C:\\Users\\*user_name*\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 3\\BIOGame\\Config\\OnlineProfile.profile - I removed these 2 files (with anti-virus and firewall being turned off). Apparently ME3 stores the list of authorized DLC locally, and that files can get messed up.

Hopefully this works for others as well.:wizard:

I have tried live chat 3 times, two of them said that, they will send it to senior tech support or whatever, and they will write me an e-mail in a week WITH A SOLUTION. That was 2,5 weeks ago... I even wrote them an email that should be answered in 24 hours according to them, about 3 days ago and that hasn't been answered either. And yeah... the live chat was mainly "did you repair install?, did you update? did you reinstall?", one of them even gave me a new serial but origin didn't update it so still not working.

This is the official Mass Effect forum right?
How come its so dead then? i mean the last time someone from bioware wrote something in the Technical Support forum was 18 days ago and that was only one time, after that you have to go back 3-4 months ... they just dont care or?
I've payed alot of money for something i havn't been able to play 100% since day 1.

Same thing here. Thing is, Im only reinstalling because an hour into the game parts of the citadel wont load. Didnt have this problem the first time through, nor did I have this new problem with all of the dlc not being recognized. Annoyed. I've been through the first two games all over again just to play 3 again so I can see the EC. (side note, totally my fault for having to play the games again ha)

At any rate yes, same deal.

Windows 7 home x64

EC, Resurgance, Rebellion, From ashes.

Everythings patched up to date.

This is becoming increasingly annoying.

Since I was unable to have my DLCs authorized for over 24h I've had quite some time to try out some things. One of them worked, but temporarily. I've done a system restore to 4 days back. Then I've started the game and it worked normally, all DLCs authorized.

Before starting to play, I went to download Earth DLC 'cause it was just released, played 3 or 4 games, bought several Premium Spectre Packs and when I wanted to buy a last one I could afford, this is what I get:

I exited the mutiplayer and went back in but then it opened as if I've never played multiplayer before. All level 1 classes where I had to pick one. Then I've quit the game, started it again and there it was:

I have Windows 7 x64, Mass Effect 3 N7 Digital Deluxe Edition (preordered via Origin), installed all DLCs. Too bad one can't get a refund in a situation where a game you paid for won't work properly.<_<

at first i thought it was the earth DLC, i had started downloading extended cut at the same time.. sigh been playing multiplayer all along [in between i cancelled the download] now it says "unable to authorize the listed DLC". and i cannot find any games online, the "Communicating" stat on the top left corner just blips and goes away, however i can create games and play solo.

My achievements have just disappeared from the game. It appears the the game is no connecting to EA.
I still can see all my achievements in my bioware social profile.

well i found out i had this issue afew days ago because i had no interwebs considering that the game doesn't need to authorise the DLC every time you launch the client and that bioware/ea already have a record of you having the DLC after the first time.

so if i need the interwebs just to play this game then i will be sending my bill to bioware/ea i'm sure you guys can afford a $100 a month.

 Solved the problem!

Opened origin, and selected Show Game Details on ME3, then I clicked the Earth DLC with the right mouse button, and selected Repair Install.

So, I just repaired the DLC installation, and it worked!

That did not work for me.

I've tried everything and it says online pass needed for collector's edition and unable to authorize DLC From Ashes.

Decided to install the game after few months and... oh God, it's working! I don't know what you've done there but all DLC's are authorized and there's even "Downloadable content" in the main menu! Awesome!
