I'm 50% fixed - I got an EA support guy last night who fixed my DLC issue, so single player now works, but I still can't do online until the online pass issue is fixed.

I am so sick of these idiots - I include SO much information in the ticket thread and they just plain ignore it. It's been nearly two weeks and they've only just fixed half of the trouble - and it was at their end, not mine.

I've updated the ticket thread - again - with request to fix the online pass. 27 notes on the case and still counting.

Hi all,

We are already investigating this issue with the Origin team. You can help us to track down the problem faster if you reply to this forum with the following info:

Which edition of the game do you own (standard, digital deluxe, etc)?
Which OS are you using?
Which DLC you have installed?
Did you get Patch 1.01?
Did you get Patch 1.02?

I have the N7 Collector's Edition on PC.- using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate- have From Ashes, M55 Argus Assault Rifle, Resurgence Pack, and N7 Collector's edition materials installed- Both patches (1.01 and 1.02) installed.

The game was working fine this weekend, but now won't authenticate me. I have no idea what could have caused this on my end, as no changes (to my knowledge) have been made.

Having the same problem. Strange though, it only started doing it today. Been working fine prior to that.

N7 Collectors Edition
Windows 7 Professional (64)

So, I just spoke to a Live chat technician, and He claimed that, on his end, my account did NOT have any of the DLCs. Meanwhile, I can see them on my Bioware page and my Origin account.

This is the latest response I got from an EA tech after a few back and forth on the issues.

"Please allow me to explain that the issue with Mass Effect 3 Resurgence Pack is temporarily going on and our Engineers are already aware of that and they are working over this issue to make resolve as early as they can. We do not have an ETA for when they will deploy a fix."

Going on 3 weeks for me, I'm done with dealing with EA advisers. At least I beat the game once before this happened.

Lucky me I just got the same issue as everyone else.
Chatting to an EA Tech right now will keep you posted on how it goes.

Update.
After a while and a few workarounds it is now working.

Please understand you can try these if you want, but I needed the Tech to change a few things on his end for it to work.
Repair the game install.
go to settings in origin and delete game installers. (this fixed the pop up message about the DLC)
Reload My Games from the origin menu where settings are.
I was given a new product code to enter
Log out of origin.
Run as Administrator.
Log back in run the game
runs fine.....for now

So, trying to get my online access back, the case with now over 30 notes/replies attached, copious screenshots and more, they are asking me to check my firewall and clear my Origin cache again. Seriously, this is beginning to make me question if I am speaking to real people or if this is an attempt at an artificial intelligence. Because these bots do not pass the Turing test.

I've got now the problem for the SP mode and DLC "From Ashes" fixed by the German EA Customer Support. They replaced both registration codes for the game and the DLC and it works. I've still the message that some online contents cannot be loaed due to missing authorization, but this is currently only for the Resurgence pack which is for me not so important. By the way, i want to say thanks to Dennis from EA Germany who helped me really in a fast and competently way. I only needed to send 2 messages to EA.

Alright, so, After Spending time on the phone with EA support yesterday, the Technician gave me a code for a new Copy (Upgrading my standard edition to N7 collectors Edition.)

However, after letting it install over night, I'm still getting the same error.

Edition: N7 Digital Deluxe (Preorder)
OS: Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1
DLC: AT 12 Raider Shotgun, From Ashes, M55 Argus Assault Rifle, M90 Indra Sniper Rifle, Mass Effect 3 Digital Artbook, Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack, N7 Collector's Edition Materials, and Resurgence.
Patch 1.01: Yes
Patch 1.02: Yes
Mass Effect 3 Executable: Version 1.2.5427.16
Mass Effect 3 Cloud Storage Enabled: Yes
Origin: Version 8.5.2.23 - 151265
Driver: Nvidia GeForce 296.10
DxDiag: http://dl.dropbox.co...0777/DxDiag.txt
Remedies Tried: Repair Install, Clean Install

The problem got worse after not being able to play multiplayer, now I can't even get into single player because the DLC won't authorize and EA support hasn't been able to fix the issue for over 5 days now. I'm upset because I will probably miss out on redeeming my Operation Resurgence rewards and the fact that I'm being denied access to a product I paid for and the support from EA is abysmal.

I've got the N7 Collector's edition with the latest patches, From Ashes and Resurgence. When I first encountered the ''DLC cannot be authorised'' problem about a week ago, I couldn't connect to my online account to update my Galactic Readiness level or play multiplayer. Today, I couldn't even play single player because now it won't authorise 'From Ashes' either. After speaking to four different guys from EA tech support (who have absolutely NO idea what they're doing) and based on their suggestions, I tried reinstalling the game from scratch, deleting registry entries and repairing/updating the DLC. No dice.

So for now, those of us who can make do with just single player and can wait for multiplayer until they patch this thing, the only solution is to play the game with Origin in 'offline mode'. That way, the game doesn't connect to the EA servers and you can continue with your campaign. Mind you, your galactic readiness level will be 50% or so, there isn't anything you can do about it except wait it out.

Some additional Information:
I've got a CD, but I downloaded the game for reinstalling it.
Besides I'm able to play sp and mp; it's just the missing DLC (authorization error).
I hope this helpes solving the problem.

I'm still battling with EA support - I can't believe this is still going on after two weeks.

So, what I have learned: adding notes to the case doesn't seem to actually do anything - I don't think they get alerted, you have to click Contact then email to attach a note with a ping to EA to get them to respond.

Email support is the worst option - check your firewall, don't forget to clean your cache, oh and have you tried reinstalling Origin and/or the game again today just for fun because you have SO much time to spare?

Live chat or phone if you can.

Glad to hear BW has its top guys tackling this problem. I have not been able to play MP in 2 weeks, basically since the DLC came out.
Keep checking the forum every couple of days, hoping for some sort of a fix, but I see still no dice..

Same problem. I got N7 Collectors Edition, From Ashes and Ressurgance DLCs, but after launching the game the message appears that game couldn't authorize these DLCs. Moreover, there is no "Downloadable Content" option in game menu. The game itself and all DLC were downloaded with Origin.

After 30+ notes to the autoresponders at EA, I finally got through to someone who gave me a new key for the game. I had to fully uninstall (and remove registry entries where the old key was lurking) but it seems to be "fixed".

I say fixed, because this is a workaroud, not a fix. A fix would be at their end, and this is not going to help anyone else. While I'm happy that I am able to play, it's taken weeks of back and forth, hours of writing emails and sending screenshots, and only now can I play, and I don't feel like this has reached anyone who actually realizes there is a real problem with the game servers.

I hope my ticket thread will be used if anyone does investigate this situation, because I can easily see this happening again in a month. If anyone at Bioware is reading this thread, please feel free to contact me if you want my entire case history in case it helps anyone else.

For those of you still unable to play, keep talking to EA about it. I wish you all luck!

I know how you feel, ME-3 has not been the experience I expected.. The horrible SP ending followed by this MP DLC issue is totally killing the game for me.
It be nice indeed to hear something official regarding this error, besides tentative suggestions on uninstalling and reinstalling the game a bunch of times, hoping for the best..

I'm hoping for an update from BioWare as this issue is really severe. It looks like a server-side authentication issue, but that would be an easy fix. If it is something wrong with the client, then why aren't a larger number of PC players affected? I think this issue is hard to track down due to the low percentage of users reporting it and maybe the difficulty to reproduce it for testing. I'll gladly post more information for the development team, but I need to know what to look for.

Glad to see you finally got it working dstrawberrygirl!  I agree with you that while I'm glad to be playing the game again, the "fix" seems really superficial, as it doesn't solve the root problem.  I'm also afraid of this happening to me again in a month or so.

I encourage everyone to keep on reporting this to Bioware/EA if you are still having problems with this issue!  And to those of us who have it "fixed" for the time being, it might be a good idea to keep checking this thread to see if it happens again to anyone who needed to get a new key from EA help.  Hopefully not, but you never know!
