 I recently purchased the mirror for Morrigan.  You know, the one that raises your standing to the high teens.  Anyway, I used it in the Proving match against Piotin as two of the four party members fell, leaving Morrigan and myself.  Well, after the cutscene about how the mirror is similar to the one she stole as a child, etc, etc. my party was fully revived and with full HP/stamina.  Let me get to my point...

Maybe this and other gifts for the appropriate character/s can be used during an important boss fights--let's say as a trump card.  It sounds resourceful for the console, at least.  Obviously, if you are willing to go to such measures on the PC, it is more likely you'll abuse the console commands.

Anyways, just thought I would share this with everyone in case it hasn't been documented yet.  Cheers.

I suspect that this is a Bug/ Glitch of the Conversation system of Dragon Age. It knocks you out of Combat, hence the fallen companions revive.

Try it with Andraste's Grace, Dalish Gloves, Flemeth's Grimoire, etc... any gifts that cause a conversation.
