Yeah, no.

No matter what ending you pick the Relays are destroyed. Even in the control ending it is the same scene as the others, minus the large explosions.

In that scene, you see a multitude of smaller explosions that disable the Relay. In the codex it states that the Relays have never been attended to in terms of repairs because of their complexity.

IE, everyone is ****ed.

Well, I take Gamble's statement as one of two things:

a) He never even watched the endings and therefore has no idea that the relays are obviously blown up in all 3 endings, or
B) He's hinting that they'll retcon that aspect of the ending with the Extended Cut.

If B is true, I just might start believing in BW again.

And even in the Control ending, you can still see the relay get pieces blown off of it with electricity going all over it...sure looks like it was destroyed to me.

If so "Clarify" = "Okay, who decided to hire the editor from the Sopranos to the ending?"

So now they're telling me I didn't see what I clearly saw. I picked the destroy ending and all of this stuff about disabled, ruptured or whatever else they try and call it is nonsense. They blew up, and by the codex that means it's not much left around the various galaxies.

If the extended ending DLC is just a bunch of retcons, they deserve every bit of backlash they get.

Retcon away, Bioware.

I don't mind fixing terrible things. Go right ahead.

Retcon that starkid out while you're at it.

But, seriously, yes. Yay. No destroyed relays works great for me.

How would the energy from the same crucible destroy the mass relays if you choose destroy and synthesis but not control? All the crucible does is send out a burst of energy. But for some reason blue energy is non destructive while red and green energy aren't? What? As bad as this whole thing is, now this is starting to get beyond ridiculous.

Actually, you clearly can see in the Destroy ending mass relay blows up.I don't see the same in control.
Just watch. Time right on explosion.
Control "Explosion"
Destroy Explosion
So.. does this mean control is "good" option?
Sh*t, this is even worse. (for me at least).
:crying:

Good find. So Mike Gamble is right. No one noticed this before for some reason. I don't know why people are complaining.

If this is true, I might consider choosing control.  I never hesitated to choose destroy before, but allowing the reapers to live if it means I can control them and leave the relays intact sounds like it might be the best choice

Geez, This is what you get when you try to be all super secretive and cryptic, you start stumbling around in the dark on your own lies, God, JUST GIVE US A STRAIGHT ANSWER ALREADY!!!!

I mean this level of bumbling is getting ridiculous, first its a Holocaust, then its No body Starves. Then it's Relays MUST go Nova and everybody dies to Relays Die but differently, NOW its Relay's just disabled...

Well gee doesn't this change the apocalyptic artistic vision a bit doesn't it.

Not to say that I don't welcome it, With the relays JUST being disabled that means they can be restarted, and civilization will only have a down time of a few months, but it means that civilization can get back on track, slowly.

Get those bread shipments to their destinations on time people!!!

Bioware...I'm throwing you a bone. Let's cut the clarity nonsense, admit you f$%ked up and let's really fix this ending.

You can keep Ventkid if you feel you must...but...only for those who chose the Destroy ending and got Shepard taking a gasp...in the rubble after beam blast on Earth...you wake up after Joker tries hailing you on the comm...you're bleeding...badly. You get up...make your way to the beam and the Citadel. You encounter the Illusive man...have a few short words with him before he realizes he's losing control of his voice and his body. You then start hearing Harbinger who proceeds to taunt you a little more telling you that he's about to rip open the crucible and destroy it and any ounce of hope left in the war. All this while Hackett and Joker are telling you that they have Harbinger in their sights and are focusing on an all-out assault but require you to distract it so that the allied fleets can get into position. While this is happening, you are also told that Krogan forces or Salarian STG (whichever you side with) have made their way onto the Citadel and will attempt to evacuate any survivors and open the arms of the Citadel up in time for Shepard to activate the Crucible. Only thing standing in Shepard's way is Harbinger/Illusive Man. Two ways to deal with this.

1)Talk it out and try and get hold of the Illusive Man in order to try controlling Harbinger one more time. Paragon/Renegade him into getting Harbinger to release from the Crucible and expose its weak point so that the allied fleets get a clean shot of Harbinger and destroys it. Doing so, causes the Illusive Man's Reaper tech to overload, causing him to die a slow and painful death.

2) Harbinger tires of your talk and unleashes the Illusive Man's Reaperized form (and Bioware does have the sketches for it...if you have seen the ME3 Artbook). You then have to defeat the Harbinger/Illusive Man reaper. When you defeat it..Harbinger releases from the Crucible and gets blown to kingdom come by the allied forces.

You activate the Crucible but it compromises the structure of the Citadel. You go down with the Citadel. Joker insists on coming back to get you before the Citadel blows up...and depending on your EMS, you talk him out of it and it steers clear of the destruction or you can't, Normandy comes too close and both you and your crew die. Either way...the Crucible destroys all Reapers and keeps the mass relays intact. If the Normandy survives...you get a hero's funeral and salute with all your surviving squad mates, allies and aquaintences making a cameo appearance in the last scene.

I would look at it this way. What if you only choose the control ending. Going off what the starchild stated to you when you see the relay falling apart one would assume that the relay was destroyed.

Given the knowledge of what you were told would happen and not knowing how the other two ended your thoughts would be that they were destroyed which from the tweet reply is not what they intended for us to think. This problem is created because of the starchild and the lack of dialog with him. He never states in any of the choices that the relays will be just disable.

Also he never state in the destroy choice that you will die. He only implies that you will but in the control choice he flat out tell you that you will die.

This I agree with.
