 Here's an idea . . .

Let us play a character that people more or less agree is kind of unattractive.  Not necessarily ugly, just not good-looking or noteworthy in appearance.  Could get some really interesting characterization out of that.

The problem with referring to your character as 'ugly' in a game where you can create your character's face is - well, let's put it this way. What if you make a character that looks exactly like you, and then the game's math decides you're ugly?
