They can't dodge or move cover, which is extremely fail. Why must they cripple half the races. his power melee is extremely slow for the dmg it does. I think it's slower then the Krogans.
He basically a cross between an Asari and Krogan as far as abilities.

I speced mine to have 1238 heath and 1238 shields even a rocket in the face didn't drop my shields and 3 hits from a prime were shrugged of with ease also have 30% shield recharge speed so I could stay out of cover longer =D
I don't use shock wave it sucks and messes up when people are aiming
Also 25% weight reduction on SR and SG's is nice 130% recharge bonus with a SR and SG in tow is not to be sniffed at just my thoughts.

Just unlocked the Batarian Sentinel. Build suggestions?
Make sure you get youre blade armour to have 150% melee return, spec youre net to have inreased time, slows armour enemies/damage upgrade, and then the electric trap upgrade. I also suggest rolling with a striker rifle, as it stuns enemies and cc's. That is my trap/support style Batarian Sentinal. And he can roll with the big boys in gold at level 11 on up!

Thanks! Did you put anything into Shockwave or did you ignore it in favour of passives?TheInvicibleCandyBar wrote...

Going to try the solider next time, see how those bladed omnitool blast fair out. Oh, and freezing a marauder and than punching him in the face was just awesome, even it it did take too long. Anyone know who I could talk to to try and get the loading time for that punch reduced.

This guy needs some serious rework cus right now its just one of those cases where if you play really well with this class , you would have a better performance with any other really.
The net just needs faster projectile/faster recharge and a slight tweak to damage cus its a bit meh.
Shockwave never been a power i liked since ME2 but im trying to like it.
Tend to avoid full melee as thats pretty much **** outside of bronze , but even then batarians got one slow ass heavy melee.

Oh, and DAT FIST. I love the heavy melee. It seems to track better than other ones - maybe to make up for it being so slow? Even if it isn't great, it's a ton of fun to punch the crap out of someone with it. XD

Well, I went and tried it, and it's...interesting. I don't think it's garbage, but I definitely need more practice with him. The net is quirky, and I didn't realize I could use it as a trap until I came back to this topic.

This basically sums up my thoughts perfectly. It is not a bad class, just really really quirky in general. And i noticed that fist thing as well. The batarian power attack has an abnormally high track rate / step up rate (i,e start it on someone just out of range, you'll step quite a bit further then most other classes to connct it.
I dont understand the complaints about the net situation. I equipped a wraith and was able to maintain the full 200%, and even with the blade armor cooldown, it's still got a pretty short cooldown. (3.72 seconds, faster then warp for most biotic classes, or hell, almost any powers for the salarian engineer).
Its not terribly slow, its actually okay.

This is hands-down my favorite class to run, I'm a tank with shredding abilities that are second to none. I've been tanking on Gold with him.
Run:
Blade Armor 6
Shockwave 3
Submission Net 6
Batarian 6
Fitness 5
Run a Tempest/Hurricane with Ultralight Materials and either the Kishock/Valiant or a shotgun of your choice, depending on what range you like best.
Honestly, the Submission Net is the most amazing thing ever. It's like a homing Stasis that can electrify nearby enemies. Use it on anything with a Shield. Armored targets can take massive damage of you aim for Power boosts and cooldown reduction. Barriers are not an issue, either. You can trap Phantoms, Hunters, and Marauders with ease, along with anything down to simple Health.
Shockwave is useful for getting crowds of enemies in front of you to move, as the Blade Armor will damage anything that tries to sneak up from behind. If you have no skill, you'll hate the Sentinel.
The best part about the batarians is that they have the ability to accrue spare ammo out the butt, so choose those options and use your SMG to become a complete bullet hose.

They did, but it's too big a net to use on anything but a thresher.

You're a tank, in cover 90% of the time. It's the same basic formula for disaster as Krogan and Turian. They didn't reinvent the wheel here, they just put some new whitewalls on it.
